  4. Hi guys, I'm sure this pedal needs no explanation. I've had this pedal since new, circa 2010 I think? It's been gigged with a fair bit but it's been in its box for the past 18 months or so. It's still in good working condition with original box and instructions. 3Leaf Proton - £200 including P&P

  7. In the future they'll find an AI amp that does that I'm sure.Don't want to be around when that occurs!

  13. The pedal needs 500mA at 12V. It could be that when the voltage is stepped up, the available current is lowered proportionally so a 500mA 9V output would then become 375mA at 12V. (That’s how it functions on my Strymon Zuma.) I’ve also seen some converters (such as the one by One Spot) that has a capped amount of current it can convert; again, this may be what happened in your case. This was mine previously and is a lovely pedal.
  14. Up for sale is my Warwick 5 string corvette..made in Korea ..these were manufactured for about 3 years before being discontinued as the quality was that good it effected sales of the German made these are quite rare . looks like it’s had a colour change which looks a professional job ..there are signs of buckle rash but no damage . I’ve upgraded the tuners and the ramp is easily removable if you wish …the bass is passive but has a great tone …and fitted with Elixir nanoweb Stainless 45/130 looks like a 2010 date of manufacture. the usual 16.5 spacing though this is adjustable weighing 3.8kg price includes Warwick gig bag and uk postage…

  15. I’ve used a small screwdriver or paperclip to pop similar latches before, just gently wiggling till it clicks open. Worst case, bolt cutters on the latch if it’s totally stuck.
  16. The songs we are playing are in Drop A on guitar (some are F#, where I use a detuner pedal), so for simplicity I just do the same - means I can get the low note in to match the guitar. My other band will be standard tuning.

  18. Versatile Ampeg based tube preamp/DI pedal in good condition. Runs off 12V (cable/plug included). I also bought a 9V to 12V converter but it doesn't seem to power the preamp on my board from my Fuel Tank ... who knows it may work on yours but throwing it in for free. Bought recently on the forum but I am happier (and have years of experience with) my simple Sansamp, so am putting this up for sale. I paid £285 delivered and am hoping to recoup this. NO TRADES thanks! Previous sale thread with videos and more detail:
  19. Have some unused valves knocking around that aren't going to get used. They were purchased a while back as spares for the Fender Tweed Deluxe kit I built. I have tested them this morning in my amp and all are working fine with no noises of any kind. The EHX preamp valves are 1 x 12AX7 and 1 x 12AY7 - one has the original box the other one doesn't for some reason, but both are unused and have been sat in my drawer. The 12AX7 is now sold Looking for £12 posted for the 12AY7 please. The rectifier valves are 2 x NOS Brimar 5Y3GT and 1 x NOS Pinnacle 5Z4GT - The Pinnacle can be used as drop in replacements for a 5Y3GT. I bought all of these as New Old Stock and they come with the original boxes but do have signs of wear on the cardboard. The Brimar valves have a corrugated cardboard and tissue paper protective cover that come with age appropriate smell 😂 Looking for £15 each posted please. Happy to arrange local meet-up with price adjustment if needed.
  20. Having a bit of a streamline of my pedalboard and looking to let these beauties find a new home. Sansamp Programmable Bass Driver DI You know the deal, industry standard preamp/DI functionality - this one has 3 switchable channels allowing you to vary your tone/drive as required. A great pedal that's been a key part of my board but no longer required due to my GK 700RB amp. Excellent condition comes with the box. Looking for £160 posted MXR M85 Bass Distortion A flexible bass distortion based on the famous RAT circuit this one has both the original RAT and Turbo RAT circuits switchable via a push button. Sounds great and in excellent condition apart from a few small chips in the paint. Looking for £90 posted Seymour Duncan Studio Bass Compressor Really versatile workhorse compressor that gets great reviews on sites like Ovnilabs - https://www.ovnilab.com/reviews/vicegrip.shtml. A few battle scars to the paintwork but apart from that it's in great nick. Looking for £110 posted EHX Bass Clone Chorus Bought this last year looking for a Peter Hook kind of sound as it's a modern version of the original EHX Clone Theory. Hardly ever used, comes with the box. SOLD Behringer BDI21 Bass Driver DI Cheap clone of the famous Sansamp Bass Driver DI, does a fantastic job considering the price differences. Looking for £15 posted
  21. Thanks Mark, certainly is a whole lot of amp for the money. Flexible eq and enough power for most of the gigs anyone's likely to play.
  22. If you find an amp that shows you the right notes to play at the right time , will you let me know please? Rob
  23. Cunning Tip. Use paper to get the ideal slot height. Carefully remove string and ensure paper is well bedded down. Use a cocktail stick to apply superglue and make the paper permanent. Cellulose fibres are ideal reinforcement. Trim ends as needed with a sharp blade.
  24. Immaculate condition and amazing sounding pedal that’s also very bling! Original box and paperwork also included. Designed in collaboration with Darkglass Electronics, the 35th Anniversary drive pedal goes full stealth with a black and gold colour scheme and a special 35th Anniversary logo box. Aside from the engage switch (which illuminates a very cool LED) and the usual in/out and DC power sockets, the pedal has three controls – level, drive and tone. As with all Darkglass pedals, you also get true bypass switching, a particularly hard-wearing footswitch and a super-bright LED. While this is a stompbox capable of some impressive high gain sounds, it’s been designed to be equally effective at lower, more classic levels of drive and to be sensitive to bass playing dynamics. “We’ve blended old-school vibes, appealing visuals and some modern production techniques to create a pedal that has much more versatility than you might have assumed,” said Sheldon Dingwall. “It’s really been designed to capture the dynamic interaction between you and your bass. There’s plenty of dynamic range before the crunch really sets in.” The result is a wide range of tonal possibilities from subtly distorted blues tones through to classic rock and metal. This is the perfect stompbox for Dingwall aficionados looking for something with plenty of future collectable prestige. £115
