  1. Past hour
  2. My old Hartke 300w 8ohm 4 x 10 VX410 cab. Not used it in years and years, now decluttering so please come get from Holbeach, Lincs (back end of nowhere, near Spalding). I can get it to Peterborough/Sleaford/Kings Lynn if needs be. Fair condition, working order last time I used it (about ten years ago). Been stored in the house since then.
  3. Aye I totally agree… maybe a torty one for me though
  4. You’re correct in this. I couldn’t wait so grabbed a set of Chromes off Amazon. Hopefully I’ll love them, if not there will be a set for sale very soon 😅
  5. Sure looks pretty there Rich, very glad you like it....
  6. Oooh I like that a lot!
  7. Identical bass just posted on EBay for £3200. Just saying 😜
  8. No. It may sound good however, aside the awful aesthetics it looks really awkward to move.

    Okko Motorbass

I’ve never found mine to be all that ‘Lemmy’. It’s a useful distortion pedal in its own right, but doesn’t really get near to the classic Motörhead sound.
  10. I love that bridge! Very clear what Leo Fender was thinking about when he started G&L.
  11. Just downloaded the demo version of this. It limits you to 20 minutes per use before cutting out with a purchase prompt - however you can just close and restart it again to reset the timer and keep playing around. You can't save presets with the demo version but other than that you can use all the features (in standalone mode) to your heart's content! I've just killed about an hour and a half tweaking all the amps, cabs and effects and can confirm it sounds pretty glorious. The pedals also sound legit - I've got an OG Octamizer and they've modelled it flawlessly. Tbh it's actually confirmed that the original analog Octamizer sounds better than the new digital Octamizer DLX. Cured that bit of G.A.S nicely 😅 I'm now very seriously considering paying for the full version, as for me this blows the Neural DSP Darkglass plugins out of the water. Also much better than the Mixwave Ashdown ABM Evo plugin I bought a year or so ago. Aguilar have nailed it.
  12. Where did you manage to find that? I've been hunting for a comparison between the two. DuckDuckGo's search assist gets confused and compares apples and lunar landing modules:
  13. Welcome aboard! I see you're in Chatteris - I have never been there but it's the subject of one of my favourite Half Man Half Biscuit songs 😁
  14. I hope a Bakithi Kumalo SB-40 “Graceland” fretless is on the way too…
  15. Fantastic basses - I part exchanged mine years ago for a different PJ bass of significantly higher price...but in truth the Yamaha sounded and felt every bit as good!
  16. Washburn reissue “wing series”….
  17. Hi Folks, Very sad to let this one go! Fabulous resto by CARLSIM on this Bass well documented here: https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/479078-xotic-xjpro-5-string-sold/#comment-4973009 Additionally there is a blog and Carl has kindly offered to answer any questions if required? So I bought this in from Carl in June 2023 and it has never left the house whereby apart from a fettle and my setup, a set of USA Dunlop Nickle wound brights 45/130, new batteries and several polishes it is exactly as before! Plenty of info and reviews out there and I can 100% confirm how good this bass is! Does all the Jazzy things you would imagine plus has some very unique tones of it's own due to those incredible pick ups, very playable neck and balances well. Cash is king, not really interested in trades, however a nice J/MM 5'ver with 18-19mm spacing plus cash might tempt me? Meet within a reasonable distance preferred or I can courier strictly at the buyers risk and expense albeit my packaging is legendary lol! Plenty of more detailed images if you click on the link in the above text. Gaucho 5 IMG_0026.MOV

  19. I've had a couple of basses off Tony in the past. They're above market value but both in great nick. I had the SX version of this bass which was okay but not my thing. I believe the bass collection version are well regarded by some but not me I'm afraid. Just out of interest Terry what would you buy for yourself if you wanted a 5 string with 18mm spacing and a budget of £500 give or take ?🤔
  20. That's very, very nice JJ! Congrats
  21. Drop to £2000 before withdrawing.
  22. Thanks mate, you never know, dreams may come true!
  23. Ah, I think we were referring to the grooves the height screws sit in to reduce lateral play, hence the confusion. Very nice bit of metalwork that either way 👍
  24. If you can get a roundwound string through the hole, you could use that to enlarge the hole.
