Ernie Ball Pino Palladino flatwounds - £90 a set
wateroftyne replied to kevin_lindsay's topic in General Discussion
If it was a choice between £20 every few weeks for rounds, or £50 every decade for flats, I know what I would (and do) choose 😆 -

Wow - what a cool thing to have done! 😎

It's a great pedal, it took me a little while to tweak it to my liking, I think it could do with an input gain, however, I've got it in a signal chain, so it's probably me, which I need to get round to sorting. But yes, I like it.

Very lovely of you to say sir 😊

Found some bargain Roland drum parts on marketplace and wondered if a kind BCer could collect, pay the cash (£150), box up and post to me using Evri Tbe 270 mile trip would kinda negate the bargain price for me ! Thanks in advance

Duesenberg Motown Bass *Now £1100*

I played a Wal for over 30 years. It was pretty much my first bass. In all that time I never played a Fender. I got a Jazz a few years ago and absolutely love it and can’t believe it took me so long to discover. Mind you I had it PLEKd, fitted a new nut, changed the pickups, electronics, bridge and machine heads to make it my perfect bass. 😂😂

As above. This is a 2019 model. Great condition. A few very small blemishes which I’ve tried to picture but are really hard to catch on camera and can’t really be seen unless intentionally looking. (2 on top horn, one near bridge and one or two very little ones near the control plate) Also a little bit of bucklerash as this has been gigged for a year or so but nothing major. No noticeable marks to my eyes on the headstock. Really nice bass. Hipshot tuners which I’m not sure whether or not are standard but they’re on there since I bought it… Recently (3 weeks ago) professionally set up with EB Medium Slinkies. with a slight fret dress, so it’s a really nice low action with no high spots or choking. Honestly, plays like butter, whatever that plays like! I’ve also had the pickup cavity and pick guard copper shielded at the same time so it no longer has that pesky Mustang Hum. Only selling because try as I might, I just can’t seem to make it work for me. The split coil pickup which the Mustang is famous for sounds awesome but I can’t make it fit in my main gig and find myself craving more ‘honk’ that comes from having a bridge pickup. Comes with a full size bass hard case which I’ve adapted to fit the short scale with some wood & foam. Works a treat. Also comes with Schaller S Locks. And, I think I’ve got an old set of Fender flatwounds cut to fit it which I’ll chuck in. The original strap pins are also in the case and I can knock £20 off if you don’t want the Schallers. I can also include the Fender strap for an additional £10. Looking for £650 collected from TF5 where I have very nice coffee and a biscuit or 2 available, and a nice amp you can try through. Or, i think i have a box and can pack up if you wanted to organise a courier. And… I can potentially meet within about 30-40 mins of TF5 . Will consider trades/part trades for short scales especially a Fender Japan Junior Jazz Bass or Gibson Jr Les Paul Tribute, and potentially 5 strings. But, sale is preferred so happy to see what you’ve got. Thanks in advance. Alex

I have a Zoom B1 Four and simply cannot update - and I would really like to get the high pass filter I can get in the update (not included as default). I can download the file, but when I try to,load it into the Zoom, the pedal just don’t respond. Other members in here in the same situation, or do you have a solution? Cheers fra Denmark

Update. Got a kit from Amazon for £7 and used the 6.5mm plug cutter and it did the job fine so thanks for all the suggestions.

I never played one of the older ones, so I can’t compare it to those, but it’s a very good B string - I’ve not given it a lot of thought which is a very good sign, I generally only think about the B string on a bass when it’s farty and dull every time you play a note, and this definitely isn’t the case here. Like everything on the bass it’s absolutely spot on, a proper working bassist’s bass. I use the B string a lot, I pretty much live between frets 3-12 on the B and then moving across the bass, and when a B string is crap you can’t do that. I’m pretty sure I’m about to pull this advert anyway and keep it, as the bass I was going to buy has been snapped up, and there’s nothing even close to this at this price point
