What would you buy for £150?

Having managed to stay employed with the same company for the last ten years , I qualify for the 10 year £150 gift.

In terms of bass related gear, what would you spend £150 on?

Something you don't already have - a fretless, acoustic bass, one of the cheaper hollow bodies? Maybe a cheap 6er?

Looking at your gear list, you've already got a nice setup, so I'd say be practical and get a few sets of your favourite strings in. Either that, or put the £150 together with your Dean Jeff Berlin sale and get a classic vibe Squier 60's Precision in Fiesta red. They're lovely things.

plus the one - a rake of new strings may not feel exciting, but a re-string and polish-up is tonic for your sound, and your soul.

10yrs isn't bad going in an age where people change employers much more frequently. Personally I'd buy something that I wouldn't normally buy like 4 packets of really expensive strings, rather than the mid range ones I'd normally buy.

If your gear is good (& it has been commented on) I think you need to think outside the box a little. Adding a cheap instrument isn't going to cut it so a high quality accessory would be my thought

Actually, looking at the gear list I notice you don't have a compressor (unless there's one built into the amp?) - the biggest improvement I made to my last rig was a £40 Boss comp pedal, a slightly more 'boutiquey' one would probably be capable of turd-polishing...

Or just gat a CS3 and spend the rest on...well, you know.
