Sounds like a nightmare @BigRedX. I meant contact you afterwards. Luckily we’re used to playing in a more acoustic style too so we had a serviceable plan B. That’s a really top tip on the EQ though. I did think the soundman looked a bit young and new to it all.

It was an odd venue to show up to. When we first walked through the bar, I thought we might need chicken wire but the people in the back room was really friendly. To be fair, although we definitely got checked out walking through the main bar, everyone was cool. Hope you have a great show. 

John, who organised it, has posted pics from the night. There's a video and a couple of pics of your band.

John was a sound and lights man at one of our gigs and said "where have you guys been hiding?". He's been very supportive and came along to our last gig. He's a good fella.

Second gig for my originals band last Saturday evening in Reading. Gig put on by a local promoter who has delt with our guitarist before. All new to me and was slightly nervous as only required to take Squier PJ-555 and pedalboard.

Happy to find Markbass lm3 and 2x10 cab supplied. Small pub but a sizable enthusiastic crowd for the four bands. We were on second and went down very well. Friendly sound man and I could hear everything fine which encouraged me to do my backing Vox. I'm not great but it's so much easier when you can hear yerself. Lots of positive comments from audience members and one of the other bands want us to do a gig with them in September.....so far so good.

Well, shows what I know!  Guitarist says he is leaving to concentrate on solo acoustic/bluegrass banjo.  So, no band!

Hey, you must be somewhere near me! I'm based out near Newbury after many years near Maidenhead and I gig up and down the M4 a lot.

They vary, often stickier vinyl, or the same as the front - some are grippier. I have another two that aren't shown in that picture, one is pretty sticky

When i used to gig my Warwick Thumb i found it had a little neck dive and bought a strap with suede on the inside which worked really well.

yes....just outside Newbury...practice at Studio 91 at Greenham Common.

Annual Otis Jay Blues Band show at the local Forest Arts Centre, New Milton. Sold 100/130 tickets for a three-band bill - all good clean fun and a joining-in audience to boot. 
Great to have pro sound and lights. Sandberg VM4, GK MB200 through Barefaced Two10, DI’d of course.
