BassAdder60 Posted yesterday at 17:40 Posted yesterday at 17:40 Looking for recommendations for a good 212 4ohm cab that’s not Barefaced kind of price Ideally not heavy and it would be used as a single gigged cab In the past I’ve owned Ampeg SVT212AV which ok but so heavy Vanderkley 212 was lovely ( should of kept it ) Any suggestions ?? chris_b Posted yesterday at 17:45 Posted yesterday at 17:45 One of the best 212 cabs I've heard/owned was a Bergantino CN212. A fantastic tone. I believe there's a Berg HD212, an evolution of the CN cabs, in the classifieds. IMO well worth checking out. 3 Quote
Merton Posted yesterday at 17:52 Posted yesterday at 17:52 (edited) This is the one @chris_b mentioned - a flipping bargain and hopefully relatively close: Edited yesterday at 17:56 by Merton More info 🤓 1 Quote
umcoo Posted yesterday at 18:05 Posted yesterday at 18:05 I used to have a Zilla 2x12 which was great. Not Barefaced light, but still manageable. Completely customisable and the guys there were spot on. Quote

BassAdder60 Posted yesterday at 19:31 Author Posted yesterday at 19:31 It would be perfect but at 35kg it’s just too much for me these days I saw the Darkglass DG212 is 19kg but I’m not paying £900 ! Quote
tauzero Posted yesterday at 19:39 Posted yesterday at 19:39 GR Bass AT212 if you can find one cheap. And there's one for £50 less than £900. https://reverb.com/uk/item/86885913-gr-bass-at-212-slim-carbon-fibre-2020s-carbon-fibre Quote

Downunderwonder Posted yesterday at 21:48 Posted yesterday at 21:48 The best you can hope for is a really cheap pair of single 12 cabs that you can manage with a trolley and separate lifting. Quote
Mudpup Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Genz NX212 or Neox212 cabs pop up occasionally around your budget. That's what I would go for I think 3 Quote

Marvin Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago A Schroeder 212 or Genz Benz NX212 ate the 2 cabs I have used. Both great cabs, but very different as well. The only thing is finding one, unfortunately. 1 Quote
loudspeaker Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago (edited) +1 for the Genz Benz NeoX 212 I love mine, I paid £350 secondhand around 3 years ago, the top handles are a little awkward for lifting into a high truck but at about 20kgs it is managable, built in casters. Tweeter is variable and the cab is rated at 600w @4 Ohms. I had a Barefaced cab which I sold soon after getting the Genz Edited 10 hours ago by loudspeaker 2 Quote
Lozz196 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago A few years back I had a Markbass 212, can`t remember the model number but it was a very good sounding cab, and as expected, nice and light/portable. Worth checking out if one comes up. 1 Quote

Worth checking out if one comes up. There is the MarkBass MB58R 122 P 4 ohm 600w cab at around £600 new Not sure if it’s any good ? Im using two MB58R 102 Energy cabs but fancy a standalone single 212 cab Quote
cetera Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago As many others have already said, look for a GenzBenx Neox212 or NX212. A Barefaced beater and fantastic sounding. Can't go wrong. 2 Quote
