I was given this by my wife as well, a complete surprise. Also Kevin Rowlands' 'Bless Me Father', I don't know huge amount about him other than I really liked the early version of Dexy's, but he does seem like a very interesting character so it should be a good read.

Quick review?

Straight out of the box I was having fun straight away. I'm not even sure I will do too much with this pedal other than use the presets already installed.

I haven't had a chance to give it a proper bash but I'm seriously impressed so far. Tracks beautifully with my Stingray with flats. Nails that Parliament Flashlight sound, and Herbie Hancock chameleon vibe. I'm not sure if I need more than this 🤣🤣. Very happy with it.

We collected it in November but today I'm finally allowed to play the [1990s] Trace Elliot stack my partner bought me. AH300, 1x15 and 2x10. 😁

That one’s a keeper, I’d propose pronto!

I was given a Digitech Trio which I'm planning to use with my synth workstation (Roland Fantom 08).

I purposely asked Santa for the old model, as I didn't want his elves making additional features that I didn't need ( and the new one was approx 3 times the price) .

Xvive A58 system, then "Bach on bass" book and "concept for bass soloing" réédition book. I will be able to jump all over the place on stage, but still work on my musical improvement in parallel.

I got a set of Beyerdynamic DT770 pro 80ohm headphones.

these.... from the same place...

https://www.thomann.co.uk/beyerdynamic_dt770_pro80_ohm.htm

been waiting all xmas for them

could not wait to try them.

got them and just spent the day testing them

and.....

disappointed 😞

can say they are not as good as the copys made by superlux for £32 !

Superlux HD-660 Pro 32 Ohms

these from the same place...

https://www.thomann.co.uk/superlux_hd_660_pro_32_ohm.htm

Clearer, more open stereo field, better top end.

Now it might be because they are coloured bit on testing them against my monitors

i have to say the cheap superlux are more correct to my monitor sound through tannoy and roland DS90s

it might be just what your use to i suppose

stick with what you know

be interesting if anyone has heard these coming from the 770s to the hd660s.

( just thinking about it i will repost this in the recording section might be usefull there)

Headphones take some running in before they open up and approach their best! I’d advise to play some test tones/ sine waves and random playlists through them for a few days and then try again.
