skidder652003 Posted May 5 Posted May 5 As above, don't know if its been mentioned before. Just got a twin pack for 22 quid. Seems good value, gigged them last night and they sounded great. https://www.amazon.co.uk/DAddario-Bass-Guitar-Strings-Intonation/dp/B0006IQLG8?pd_rd_w=7YoFJ&content-id=amzn1.sym.6d8ed89c-516c-44b0-b8e3-62363d275168&pf_rd_p=6d8ed89c-516c-44b0-b8e3-62363d275168&pf_rd_r=6X4DHCR9V21VSXP4W7N5&pd_rd_wg=cdhbM&pd_rd_r=b4fa98a4-1ed4-4a18-9c5e-c6ae89039ca4&pd_rd_i=B0006IQLG8&psc=1&ref_=pd_bap_d_grid_rp_0_1_ec_pr_i 1 2 Quote
Happy Jack Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Some very variable reviews on Amazon ... are these strings actually suitable for 34" scale basses? Quote

Beedster Posted May 5 Posted May 5 I looked and there was a message in red stating ‘Frequently Returned’. I don’t ever order strings from Amazon having done it once before 🤔 Quote
police squad Posted May 5 Posted May 5 if there's problem with them, I'll send them back there are lots of good reviews too worth a punt, especially as the strings on both my Warwicks are too light Quote
skidder652003 Posted May 5 Author Posted May 5 Like I said, I gigged them over the weekend and they sounded good. Came in properly sealed bags as well so I'd say they're legit. 1 Quote

I've used this offer a few times before. The only issue with the 34" scale is that if you string through the body, then the E string might not be quite long enough for some basses. No problems if you string through the bridge, or if you get the XL set. Quote
lonestar Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Thanks for the heads up. I think I’ve just ordered the last set in stock Quote
neepheid Posted May 7 Posted May 7 It's back... same ridiculous ETA as the last time I used this order but they arrived way sooner than that. Anyway, I'm not in a rush, just handy to have some extra spares at a silly price! Quote

Woodinblack Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Last time I bought some strings (not amazon, ebay), i put the number in and it said they were already registered. Quote
neepheid Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Well, I'll let yous know how I get on this time around - got a few sets on order, awaiting delivery... Quote
pete.young Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Seems slightly odd that long scale length is a custom set with a slightly heavier E. if you want standard long scale lights, the price goes up to £33 for a 2-pack. Quote

I bought a three set pack of 'd'addario' acoustic guitar strings from ebay a while back. They all had the same code number and were obviously fake when I compare the pagaging to a real set. Quote
