Original case was to be heard in the Magistrates Court. That's like the difference between going for lunch at The Ritz, or McDonalds.

There's a big difference. The Crown Court can impose harsher penalties and you will be up before a Judge as opposed to someone volunteering from the community with little to no previous grounding in law.

Over here it used to be a bit like that. Cops could put someone in front of a volunteer Magistrate at 1am to get him banged up pending charges. Nowadays I don't know.

In Australia they have to be proper lawyers to get into the game.

I think that’s the point. Mick may need to postpone his tour dates for the next few months (hopefully years).

Hopefully he'll miss out on those lucrative Christmas and New Year gigs.

It strikes me as ironic.

I can only imagine the motivation for going to the extremes of forging court documents and impersonating a court official. Perhaps the charges he was trying to avoid would have meant some jail time.

Way to go!!!

I'm willing to bet he'll be let off with nothing more than a slap on the wrist... probably in the form of a warning and a £50 victims surcharge fee. This country is a joke for bringing anyone to any form of real justice.

Yeah, I was tending to think that way as well, but back on page #37 there are a list of charges that look very serious, plus the case is being delt with in the Crown court.

As a poster remarked above, "Fingers crossed"...

:D

I asked the Duck AI. That and the deliberate deception of officialdom and previous fraud conviction added up to 3 to 18 months custodial sentence.

Yup I reckon so, he also pretended to be in a police station when he phoned me, well the 'policeman' phoned me. He even sent  a pic of the policeman behind the desk. Obviously I knew it was bollocks and asked for the police station number so I could call him back to confirm it was real. Apparently that station didn't have a direct dial number 🤣 Hope he gets the book thrown at him
