Hobbayne
Fender Mustang short scale I think.
mikel
Yep Mustang shorty. I love that bass tone. The look on her face, that nerdy haircut and the twitching left shoulder. Could be super cool, still cant make my mind up, and I remember watching it when it was first televised.
fleabag
That sounds right .. I read somewhere though, that hers is modified. I couldnt find a mustang with a jazz -ish pup at the neck + square P pup at the bridge. Most of the early Mustangs seem to have tiny rounded end P pups and just the one pup Edited February 11, 2017 by fleabag
bartelby
The amp is an Acoustic Corp. one, isn't it?
RhysP
Is that the old "Psycho Killer" clip? David Byrne always sounds like Homer Simpson in that clip to me.
Jean-Luc Pickguard
The pickups were definitely added - mustangs always had the small rounded split pickup until the prawn-shop one came out with the big chrome telebass humbucker a few years ago. Anyone else think that Tina looks just like Errol from the TV series 'Uncle' in that video?

TheGreek
She also plays a Veillette Citron bass like the one I have - it's been in its case for a while - may need to bring it out again soon. xgsjx
Well underrated bassist. She's where I get a lot of inspiration from. Her synth basslines are superb too!

bonzodog
IIRC she joined the band because of her boyfriend and didn’t play bass. She only took it up as that was the only vacant role. I think they all looked to David as a strict headmaster rather than a band mate. Nonetheless she became a great bass player and musician
