oldbass
Struth where to start. For me its all about 70,s analogue and damn good old skool studio playing. ie Sheena Eastons Modern Girl, good precise bass playing by goodness knows who and clean production. Andy Gibbs Everlasting Love....Maurice Gibbs superbly accurate playing on this one Stevie Wonders Isnt She Lovely etc etc....I could go on. Cheese in spades....but all great tunes. Hal Blaine (Studio Drummer on most of the recordings) has a few little stories. http://www.jazzwax.c...-carpenter.html There is also some interesting stuff about the live shows/tours where Carl O'Brian was the regular Drummer. I believe Karen's Drumming was a solo feature during the shows. Some stuff here about the live shows. Wylie
Recently I have been listening to "Bed of Roses" by Bon Jovi. Cheesy as hell but I love listening to it, and singing it in the car at full volume. I would never play it on bass or want it in any set but I still cant get enough of that cheese. Anyone else have any cheesy song secrets?
"You Light Up My Life," Debbie Boone. Please don't tell anyone.

kevin_lindsay
I love this song. In this version, Paul's voice sounds great. However, the video is rubbish, and more importantly, the keyboard melody line at the key change is quite possibly the most gratingly awful thing in a pop song - really atonal. http://youtu.be/SgnjwUMPCgA
