And when you compare the build quality... Still, each to their own. In Nov 2014 I went to Bass San Diego and tried out a bunch of 4-string instruments including two PreCBS Fenders (65 pbass and 60 jazz bass refin) . For me, though, the Fodera Ying Yang had the best feel and sound of the bunch. But here's the issue: I play in bands that have a blues/ 60s Rock / Motown vibe, and my PBasses (Fender 72 and Fender Custom Shop '59 NOS) are all I ever use. Those Fenders are wonderful wonderful instruments, just settle right into the mix, but I've been unwilling to sell the Fodera for the dumb emotional reason that I just love it's feel. Now I have a reason. Foderas really are a joy to play, and this price point is acheivable for me, in time. Just thrilled, yeah a sucker perhaps, but I'll get a lot of pleasure. Posted January 11, 2016 Share Posted January 11, 2016 If I were in the market for a high end P I'd certainly consider it - $4k seems relatively cheap to me; in or around Fender "Custom Shop" prices but made to Fodera's high standards. Price is all relative but that doesn't seem obscene like some of their other offerings (nothing against those either, they're just less obtainable for me). One of their better looking basses too. However, i have recently finished putting money away for when my ACG is complete, so I might start putting money away for one of these too!
