1. I rarely go post eq unless its a head used purely as a di box, bassists who mess with knobs on their amps all night just keep ruining the foh mix.
2. You can buy single Allen keys on eBay.
3. I'm not sure about the tone on this new album, they should demand that he uses a Ray five in the studio!
4. A multi pickup stingray five sounds like a good bet, if you can find one.
5. The pots get scratchy too, a can of servisol sprayed in every nook and cranny while pushing and pulling and poking every knob and orrifice is the way forward, that's what would be done as a service.
6. One local place we play with one 'accidentally' leaves the kitchen shutter unlocked and there are hooks over the stage door to handily put your extension leads onto
7.
http://news.baileyguitars.co.uk/index.php/2011/04/bailey-custom-one-string-bass-77-assembly-and-set-up/
Is this the latest Adam Clayton signature model?
8. +1 on the ibanez sr500 series, great sounding versatile well built basses ime. Light as a light thing too.
9. Can I have salt and vinegar Pringles if anyone is going to the shop please? And a can of vimto!
10. Ask them if they realise you are a leather clad homo erotic adults only show band performing sexual acts on stage and that you don't want them ending up with your audience at their shows?
11. Afaik there is no fet channel on this model? The max series have the dual preamps and the smaller 3.0 is FET only, these 6.0 ones are valve pre only? Great amps all the same, glwts
12. I'm sure the millions of people who play an acoustic guitar would wonder what all this fuss is about?
13. Yep, it's not what many people want to take on board though.
14. This is yet another reason why I'm moving away from backline as FOH, I'm happy to remove a lot of low end off the stage, especially hollow wooden ones! Trying to get an nice even sound around a pub right to the back and still be at a reasonable volume and clarity 2 foot away from a cab is always going to be a huge comprimise.
15. He smelled the biscuits I'm tellin ya, I bet he has pockets full of digestives!
16. Part of the draw to Rays was that the one in the shop was just like the pros had rather than them having a special version and then the brand releasing a sort of copy of that bass, black and black stingray is essentially a Flea model available in most local music shops!
17. I heard that he wanted a modulus neck on his basses to stop the various humidity issues from gigging around the world, the man from del monte says "nope, ebmm basses have wooden necks".
18. I'd be amazed if staffs police aren't well aware of him, having a reason to have a nose around his house might be just what they are after.
19. I'd take a deal of having the bass returned and no charges if they can get him/it. Karma says he will get his comeuppance from someone one day anyway, if he goes inside from another case here's hoping he drops the soap in the shower.
20. The sort of basses they sell can only really be sold in that way, your average pmt customer buying typical fenders or squier basses can choose one from a pile of unopened boxes so the last display bass is discounted and will have been mistreated no doubt, a custom Roscoe is what it is, the bass on the hook is the bass you buy unless you want to wait, you don't really have a pile of xotics on the shelf out back do you?
