I flippin' love Oxbow!

They're even better live. Eugene is a great front man, I saw him perform with Merzbow a few years back.

Oh my goodness, how have I missed this bloke these last 50 plus years?

I do remember people recommending him to me but I never got round to listening to him

Just got to go thru his back catalogue and work out what CDs to buy

A completely silent hotel room after this evenings rather raucous gig. Which is very pleasant.

Right now I'm listening to foxes fighting... Which is still preferable to listening to One Direction.

Unparalleled austere post-hardcore riff-riders Helmet, the incomparable John Stainer on drums...

A busker in Crawley doing a pretty good Wonderwall......actually he's just segued into Boulevard Of Broken Dreams by Green Day, that works quite well - might steal it for our band 😁

Still is my metal phase at the moment. Listening to a lot of Mastodon. Amazing to hear them having changed so much over the years. This still rocks, though...

Their first two records are stunning, Leviathan is easily in my top five albums.

Been listening to this recently and I'm totally in love, the full album is insane! X

Fantastic album. Like mix between Aurora, Bjork & Sigur Ros.

Cheers for this. 😎

This and The Hunter are the only two Mastodon albums I like. Cracking tune this one. I just far prefer these two albums - often derided by  hardcore fans - to their more acclaimed ones. Then again the only Metallica I like are the black album and Load/Reload.

MMMD. I've seen these guys live and no other band, including Sunn O))), has come close to the gut thudding lows that these do.

I think this might be my favourite song of all time...

I saw that when I was 11 or 12 and I STILL remember being freaked out by Ron Mael!

Not so much a segue as alternative lyrics 🙂

When my wife was 15 she hitchhiked across America to California to see them. From Montreal.

Once I’d cleaned up my hot chocolate, which exploded in a brown powdery haze from the sachet, yes indeed the dream was fully lived 🙃
