It's knowing you can always bring it down to a big fat open E root note. ...even though I play a 5-string now which goes down to B? I wonder what influences these choices. Whether its down to habit from early stuff you learn, pitch of your voice something that resonates in yer brain, or something more mexhanical, like fret spacing, or the angle of your elbow.. [/quote] usually whatever listen to at time or whatever is stuck in my tiny brain - fret spacing not a significant factor as have a 35 incher and a 34 incher so that is like almost a whole fret/semitone displacement anyways - but i would speculate that the least noodled key is probably F maj Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
