[/quote] The Same bass a couple of days later after having done some work on it. Aligned the tuners and neck pickup, done a proper shielding and grounding job and made a new pickguard. Bought as a back up to whichever one of my other two I take to a gig. Was thinking of modding it, but to be honest, there's no need (other than straplocks). Plays very nicely & is thunderous! Some dings & dents, but bought for a purpose & it's absolutely ideal for that. Both are totally different in sound and feel, but I'm not sure I could say which one I prefer because they're so different. I've never been a Jazz. Bass fan at all until I found these 2. I'm not sure whether both are keepers for sure, but which one to move on.....? blablas Posted July 26, 2014 Share Posted July 26, 2014 My second F(ake)ender Jazz Bass V. As it came out of the box 2 months ago. And after all the modifications. It took a while because some parts I needed were not in stock at the shop where ordered them. What I've done to it: - Aligned the tuners. - Aligned the neck. - Widened the string spacing at the bridge. - Made a new pickguard. - replaced the electronics, with stacked knob controls. - (Hidden) proper grounding and shielding.
