  1. Yussef Dayes in Cardiff with Rocco Palladino on bass. Sound was a bit meh bass wise, while the drum sound was perfect as you'd expect for this act. Nevertheless a great gig, Rocco was amazing and a pretty big crowd - about 700 - for what is still essentially a niche jazz act.
  2. A That looks like the one - thank you!
  3. Couple of shows at Greenman festival over the weekend, one a mini show for some TV/social media thing and a full show on the Sunday. The Ampeg sounded awesome behind me and stage sound was pretty perfect. Nice big crowd, good weather and a lot of fun 😊.
  4. Saw Obongjayar at Greenman at the weekend and his bassist was incredible. What bass is this that he was using? Looks a bit like an Alpher to me but couldn't see the logo
  5. Our balafon player has forgotten his keyboard stand 🤦 is there anyone near the Arc who could let us use one at all? Thank you! 🤞
  6. I've never heard of Arkham and I've never owned a Fender! I'm going to have to wait ages to sell my Stomp now though 😭 😉
  7. Waiting for confirmation but I think @Basstardz sent money. I would assume if they sent via F&F it isn't recoverable.
  8. Hi everyone. It was only by chance that I happened to log in last night and spot one of the sale messages from the scammer to see what was happening. I used the support function to let mods know and messaged everyone the scammer was contact with but as if this morning it looks like one person was taken in and sent money via PayPal 😞 My Basschat password was set ages ago when I was using only one password for what I considered 'less important ' websites. Lesson learned, I need to change them all now. The scammer was pretty clever and turned off the function that sent me emails when a personal message is received - maybe this should be locked on to prevent hacking? Sorry for all the faff caused by all this.
  9. Sold a bass to Ash, easy peasy sale, a pleasure.
  10. Madness lines are really cool and go to some unexpected places!
  11. Looking at the front of bass. ( not wearing it). Left to right. Treble Bass and Volume. Lower row is. BALANCE. The switches are.. Top.. Dual coil, Parallel Mid.. Single coil Bottom.. Dual coil, series
  12. If it was the recent ad it was a five string @elbassisto was after.
  13. Really nice Patrick Eggle Milan V in a unique colour with upgraded pre amp. Only getting rid as I'm thinning the herd and my Maruszczyk gets all the attention now. Good condition with just one dink on the top of the body and a smaller dent on the lower horn. Great hardware on this, is a lovely player and has been a useful back up bass for a while. Welcome to come try out in Cardiff.
  14. As the title says, a Trace Elliot T-Bass in black. I've had this for nearly 10years now and it's been a faithful companion on many gigs. Lovely slim neck, currently strung with funkmasters so it's super fast to play. Pretty lightweight in feel and a huge range of tones in the Status pre-amp, I've used this on all genres from reggae to disco to rock. It's got the odd knock or two and the scratch plate is split and this is reflected in the price. Not desperate to get rid as it's always had a use but thinning the herd as I've had a few new additions. Any questions let me know, welcome to come and try in Cardiff. Comes with Status gig bag. (I'm pretty sure it does anyway, will have to check the attic)
  15. Possibly the sweatiest gig I've ever played, depping in on a disco tribute at a pub festival in Glastonbury. Love the house rig too 🥰
  16. For my funk/Latin/jazz band we change 50% of the set every gig but here's the latest iteration (the last 2 tracks are to go with a separate performance so not part of the set)
  17. The people in the UK Touring Crew Facebook group will have experience and be happy to help. 🙂
  18. I knew Burke, but for a good while I had no idea of his significance or even that he was a bass player. He would often attend local jam nights and gigs and was always incredibly supportive. He is much missed.
