Just put this together. I bought it as a project off eBay. The body is allegedly Fender, and again, allegedly 60s or 70s. It had been refinished in Daphne Blue, which is what attracted me to it, in all honesty! It came with a maple board Mighty Mite neck, which i swapped for a rosewood one. Pickups are Fender Custom Shop '60s, tuners and bridge are Wilkinson.
I'm still playing around with the setup, but for a numpty, I think it's playing pretty well.

Show and tell, why not...

It's a special order 2001 Fender Custom Shop 1963 reissue, closet classic (accompanied by Precision Bass bodyguards  ).

I previously owned a USA Deluxe 5 Jazz and a 1964 original Jazz. I do miss the '64 but considering the quality of this Custom Shop, I'm a very happy punter who's satisfied.

We're missing a Stack Knob Jazz here I think...someone please post the Jazz Bass to end all Jazz Basses.....
EDIT: you know who you are.... :D

My modded James Johnson CV Jazz.
Upgrades - Scratch plate, Mojo pre-CBS pickups & Mojo wiring harness . . Sounds unbelievable! Can't recommend the work Marc does enough. Love the neck on these basses.

Awesome and beautiful bass. It looks like two-tone sunburst - that is just so incredible.
It does look 2-tone, but it is 3 tone. It is common in this period for the fronts to fade to 2-tone. Search on gbase, and filter your search for fenders between 1959 and 1960, and sunburst in colour, and you'll notice 90% of them will appear 2 tone. Bursts from this period are often referred to as 2½ tone sunburst. The back is more visibly 3 tone, as is the front at certain angles/light.

Thanks for the comment.
