1. Yep, giggear are the same. Said 'no thanks'.
2. Never got on with compressors till I bought one of these. Permanently on my board now.
3. Aw, man.... don't do this to me.
4. Hear really good things about these combos! That rig sounds like a bargain.
5. Bought a P bass body of Gary. Exactly as described and he put it on hold for me until I could pick it up. Was very accomodation with that too, letting me drop in at short notice.
6. Anyone know where I can get a very good quality 21 fret 4 string neck without costing an arm and a leg? (pun intended) Needs to fit a fender style body, so neck pocket around 62mm. Wanted for a relatively lightweight bass project I'm hoping to put together, so can't weigh a ton. Thought about getting one from Warmoth but a little pricey once delivery and tax are applied. All their pre-built ones seem to have their steel stiffening rods, which I reckon will neck dive a lightweight bass for sure. To be clear, I know they do graphite rods too but don't seem to be any pre-built right now. I looked at mighty mite but they seem to be 20 fret only. Also like it if the tuner holes were 14mm so I can get some hipshot ultralites. Any advice appreciated.
7. Aw man... that is a beut! If only I had the pennies.
8. Lovely. Have to ask... how much does it weigh?
9. Hey Chris, going to be 'that guy' and ask about the weight. Previous thread never did get round to putting a figure on it.
10. From the FAQ (https://www.thetrackr.com/faq)
What is the battery life of a TrackR? Is it replaceable? With normal use, the TrackR battery will last up to 1 year. TrackR sticker and TrackR wallet use CR 2016 batteries, and the TrackR bravo uses CR 1616 batteries. These can all be replaced, and are available at the local grocery or hardware store.
I looked at the 'tile', which is a similar product. The batteries are non-replaceable and you have to send it back for a replacement, which I believe is free of charge but still agg.
11. Just ordered some. Mostly for my wallet and keys, as I'm forever misplacing them. Will report back. BTW, if anyone is going to buy some, use this referral code and we both get one extra free: https://www.thetrackr.com/?ref_code=815YZ
12. Bought a cheap but nice Shine 5 string. Bass as described, and well packaged. Thanks.
13. Arghh! Are you kidding??? Just the amp section's got to be worth waaay more than that! I've got the v-type preamp and it is truly a glorious thing.
14. Now THAT is a bargain.
15.
Thanks Sharkfinger - might be something to do with my avatar?
Don't know what people have against that awful, distracting eyesore.
16.
Here are some quick recordings - straight into logic completely bare. Please excuse the playing
Sounds sweeeeet. Can't understand why this is still here, let alone for that price. Apart from that tone, the JV's just feel incredible in your hands.
17. Started a FB thread for tarman1977, as there didn't seem to be one. Just bought my Tech Soundsystems ND410S and it was smooth and effortless, even with posting to Ireland. Wasn't that expensive either.
18. Had what was practically the twin of this on extended loan to me a few years ago. Eventually letting it go was very, very difficult. I liked it so much I went out and bought an '82 JV P straight away. Make no mistake, these are a truly outstanding instruments in every way. Also, he certainly doesn't need me to vouch for him but I've known Higgie for years and he is an excellent chap to deal with.
