Bought my immaculate Barefaced Super 12 from Mike. Met me half way to exchange, hassle free and with excellent communications. A proper gentlemen and I’d recommend him to anybody.

Thanks for the replies. What about porting? My 6x10 is sealed but would a port add anything to a 2x12?

Hiya bass brethren, I run a Matamp GT200mk1 into a Matamp 6x10 but my back isn't what it was so I'm looking to sell the 6x10 and replace it with a 2x12. I'm thinking probably a Matamp or Zilla cab but I don't want to lose the low end, punch or all enveloping sound I get from my 6x10. Is this achievable with a 2x12? If so should I be looking at a sealed or ported cab? Neo or ferrite drivers? HELP! I play in a very noisy 3 piece in venues up to a couple of hundred capacity. My main stick is a 76 Ric 4001 and I use a B7K preamp for somewhere between a vintage and modern tone.

Thanks guys. Yes it's a brilliant amp. I'd like to keep it for gigs where my 6x10 would be a squeeze but She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed has put her foot down so I've got to move the old girl on. The amp I mean. ☺

************ SOLD ************ Time to sell my trusty Trace Elliot V-Type Bass Combo. This is a rare beast that I've had for 15 years. Valve preamp mated to a solid state power section giving you 280w into 4 ohms of pure Trace power. It has 4 8" Celestion speakers and gives a lovely big, tight, valve sound. Preamp has Gain, Bass, Mid (with pull mid shift), Treble, Volume, and Deep and Bright switches, DI with pre/post settings. Round the back you have an effects loop, line out and 2 speaker outs. Tank like build quality. Recently serviced and sounds better than ever. The Trace carpet covering is in almost perfect condition. The only thing wrong with it is a spring has gone in one of the side handles. Only selling as I've recently purchased my dream amp. No trades. Although relatively compact it is quite heavy so pick up only from near Blackpool.
