1. The Japanese one - on the left is my favourite, followed by the right hand one. I wanted to get like for like comparison, hence more or less the same settings on each. The jap has more clarity in the top end, and a little more woomph to my ears. For those really observant bods out there, there is a slight difference in the lettering between the jap and Taiwan ones
2. I'm not totally sure how I ended up with this many! I'm falling in love with the sounds again
3. The 7200 will only run at a min of 4 ohms, where the 7400 does 2 ohms. It's the main reason I moved from my 7200 to the 7400.
4. For guitar- usually they are. The only exception being 'at the gates' type Gothenburg style metal. Bass however is a different story
5. Larry hartke's number is fairly freely available too. He seems to always be happy to talk with players. Might be worth bearing in mind
6. I'm currently running my 7400 as detailed by musky. The low end is huge from this rig. ( I'm using a pair of mbc410 cabs)
7. I was in town yesterday and went for my usual stroll around cash converters. To my surprise I saw a boss hm2 with box for £10!! Needless to say it left with me. This now means that I now have four! They all sound different too! There are three MIT and one mij. I know these threads are worthless without pics, so Img/http://s178.photobucket.com/user/dudewheresmybass/media/Mobile%20Uploads/2014-02/1E3D5C1D-FAC4-4697-8DBA-38AE2983EC78.jpg.html%5D%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w262/dudewheresmybass/Mobile%20Uploads/2014-02/1E3D5C1D-FAC4-4697-8DBA-38AE2983EC78.jpg%5B/IMG%5D%5B/URL%5D/img What other bargains have you lovely people found in cash converters and the like?
8. There is always a degree of banter between myself and the singer when we gig. A couple of gigs ago,I was approached by someone after the show who made comment that he had been thoroughly entertained by a band that wasn't of a genre that he would go out of his way to see, but clearly had fun together playing and insulting each other!
9. Is there going to be a basschat 'hub' again this year? It was really nice to put names to faces last year
10. I would have thought it will be available at the bass show. Over previous years, tc have released the ditto and poly tune mini at the show.
11. I've been on a similar quest for a long long time. Currently I'm using an old dod fx 91 bass overdrive. I've also had got very close with the hardwire tube od, lomenzo hyperdrive, bass tubescreamer, and ebs multi drive. It's taken a lot of trying and cash ! But I think I'm more or less there now
12. According to mxr/ west side rep it is essentially the m80 with no drive and sweep able mids
13. I've ordered mine now. I really like the fact that it's essentially the m80 with sweep able mids and no drive- I rarely use mine and would rather use a dedicated pedal Apparently it's due in march / April And will retail around £159
14. Email hartke customer services? Us companies are usual very helpful
15. Blimey- I've got this on VHS somewhere! Love this tape. With Gary husband and Gary Moore is a dream band!
16. Just one thing- you can't run these on batteries GLWTS
17. Could you drop me a pic of the dial area? - that might help
18. Hi. Does the pitch box do octave up and down simultaneously?
19.
Cabasas and shekeres are similar but not the same. The Gil Scott Heron clip featured a big ol' shekere.
Fair play- didn't get that far in the clip!
20. I have a nano hot tubes, and the nano glove is in my gas list. Both sound great with bass. The glove is a gorgeous drive, and the tubes is a lovely fuzzy drive. I have also picked up a bass wah, which sounds lovely, but has yet to stun me in a mix. I keep trying though I do have to say that I'm a fussy bugger when it comes to wah.
