2. shame - great gear, and cool people to deal with too
3. it would look great with one stack either side of your drummist!

5. in terms of wahs there are a few discussions already underway about which on is best. they normally come down to three mass market pedals ( Dunlop 105q, Morley models, and Ibanez weeping demon) plus boutique options (Wilson, MSD etc.) Realistically, there are tons of video reviews on youtube if trying these out is a problem For reverb, i've had some great results with the marshall reflector. It retails at less than most of the competition, yet still sounds great! I'm sure others will add their opinions too, but i hope this helps. PS - Can i have a go on your bass?
6. +1 to the cliff reference ^ my main crush was the Fender p. Iwasn't worried about anything except that Steve Harris played one. I now have a USA P and a MIJ P Lyte, but i now gas for the sig model.
7. or you could put a flag in it
8. i would put the octave first after the tuner, then filter, bbm, and then phaser. That i think is by the by. are you using batteries or an adaptor? i would first just connect the tuner in line, then assuming all is well add the octave, then assuming that is fine add the others until an issue occurs and you'll find where the problem is occurring. Do all the pedals work individually with your rig?
9. mistakes will happen, but thankfully they don't seem to happen too often. it doesn't seem to affect my bookings though, so i must be doing something right! what i might class as a mistake might very well go unnoticed by others. I find i am always my own worst critic.
10. probably a good idea to add the pedals in one by one then, and therefore identifying which one(s) are causing the problem. are you putting in the chain in the order above? ie : dt10 > BBM > OM > filter > phaser > amp ?
11. I teach rock school too. perhaps this lot might help. 60% of the marks are allocated for the prepared pieces. as mentioned above they are fairly straight forward, with no real surprises. be aware that good credit is given for soloing in a relevant manner appropriate to the style of the song. this means not sticking a "slap yo' mama" solo on a mellow piece etc... use dynamics to create movement, tension and just be musical! what you should always remember is that you can never overprepare. you'll need to be fluent in your playing of the set elements of technique, and be able to explain yourself in a clear and concise mannerin order to show understanding of the technical aspects.
12. it is probably worth putting the pedals back in one at a time to identify whether it is only one of the pedals or anything else. does your bass have a hot output?
13. thanks for that alien, i came to the same conclusion today. mind you i'm still going to toy with the idea of a stomper to switch it on cheers for all of the useful advice chaps
14. i thought it was reasonably well made, but was a little surprised it only made it to about '82/3. Where's the rest? Lemmy is really starting to look quite old now though - i never thought that would happen!!
15. just trying to work out why they both felt the need to use twin-necked instruments
16. there is someone on here that has / does own one. Dosyanarchy (sp!) i think
17. i use one of these on my belt - no problems changing basses now!!! http://www.thomann.de/gb/thomann_wireless_...195a087be3a12c5
18. there's nothing like being prepared - he must have been a boy scout!
19. perhaps an eq might be worth a try. the boss eq is quite easily found on the dreaded bay quite reasonably priced, if it doesn't do what you're after you should be able to recover your outlay. i hear the barber linden eq is great. perhaps someone with more experience of one might be able to help out here!
20. just finished watching the dvd. that show would have been great. The tech alone would have made it worthwhile IMO. absolutely loved the bass sound on earth song - anyone any ideas what he used on the bass there? great octave sound! Orianthi is a major hottie though, her outfit/ hair in the black or white segments......... ooh! glad she doesn't talk for living!
21. it could be a good move. you really must try before you buy though. I really love my big rig (Marshall DBS with MB / Jubilee cabs), but it's a really useful standby for a recording or hired rig situation, it can really add something cool to your sound 'pallette'. Where are you based?
22. elites used to use a black winding, don't know if they still do though
23. i have two of these cabs. never had any problems at all.
24.
It looks fairly simple to acomplish, you can however expand on this project and put in a sound sensor as well which would react to the music being played, sort of a effect of flashing disco lights.
this is pretty much what i'm after. how would i supply the signal to the unit without losing my signal totally? i know i' said i'm thinking of a 'side chain' but how could i build that?
