1. Hi all, The venue I work at has recently fully upgraded its lighting rig and so we have a lot of moving heads for sale. These are professional touring grade and still mostly in excellent condition having been installed in a rig for the duration of their use. I have tested each fixture and most have no issues, but there are several we would let go for a reduced price as they need a bit of TLC. If you know what these are, you'll know this is a great deal. We are looking for £1000 per fixture with no issues but this can be negotiated for multiple units or the ones that aren't in the greatest condition. We are located in Norwich, Norfolk, UK. List as follows: Mac575 krypton spot- 1- Replace lamp message, lamps on, ok otherwise 2- TIER error, shaking and noise on startup, lamps on, ok otherwise 3- no known issues 4- no known issues 5- shaking and noise on startup, menu lcd broken 6- no known issues 7- no known issues 8- no known issues 9- no known issues 10- damaged body plastic, no other issues 11- no known issues 12- gets stuck occasionally 13- no known issues Mac700 wash- 1- no known issues 2- no known issues 3- lamp blown 4- CYER message, stuck on one colour, no other fault 5- no known issues 6- lamp blown, no 16A plug 7- no known issues
2.
Electric Wizard really?! Even when he wasn't playing as his amp went kaput?
Hah, that was serious Spinal Tap as they swapped it for a DI and he only got to play the last note of the first song! It was great after that though.
3. I'm a sound engineer and attended this year- best mixes I heard were Kadavar and Electric Wizard on the Maverick Stage, Rival Sons, Monster Truck, Royal Republic and Sabbath on main and Billy Talent on second. Bass was audible in all of those in varying crowd positions. Several mixes not so good but you have to realise that when you are engineering a festival you are under immense time constraints if you're not the headliner. Twenty minutes (if that) for crew to get equipment on, patch it all in, to line check every instrument...then you're off, building the mix from the first song. Hats off to all the band's engineers last weekend.
4.
I think you should get right into PA stuff, I'd love to see a Barefaced take on a nice line array system!
+1!
5. Had some fun today recording for my band's next EP. Yes, nine tracks of bass because why not. They all sound amazing, going to be tough narrowing the field down!
6. Great idea. Here's my original Stoner Rock/Doom Blues trio Clan- recently inked a vinyl and cd distribution deal for our debut album 'Witchcraft' with Bilocation Records/Kozmik Artifactz which will be available in the next few months. www.facebook.com/clantheband Cheers for looking!
7. Many thanks. Got over 100 responses to work through now, lots of great ideas in there.
8. Thanks guys! Beta testing might be a while off yet but you're first in the queue if and when that happens!
9. https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/P59SL2K This is for my final year research project at Uni. I'm investigating pedal design as well as avenues into Arduino and Raspberry Pi pedal programming using Max/MSP and PureData patches. All responses greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
10. Just came here to post my Rick-O-Sound board and what do you know, the last comment is about it too! Bridge Pickup- Darkglass Vintage, EHX Freeze Neck Pickup- MXR Bass Octave Deluxe The case is an old IKEA drawer, just cut the board to size and added hookover hinges and butterfly catches to secure it.
11. This is sounding absolutely terrific. Rick with Chromes + Rick-O-Sound + Darkglass + Ampeg + Barefaced = tone heaven
12.
I'll echo the above, good show - but the greatness was lost in the wind! Sounded muffled on occasion. Rammstein were good also - but the best work was done in the Pepsi tent: Red Fang, Kvelertak, The Sword, Hang the Bastard, Newsted, Uncle Acid and the deadbeats. Sure, none of them had the stage props, but they brought a lot more energy than some of the bigger acts!
Pepsi Max stage was my favourite this festival. The sound was absolutely perfect for The Sword, Uncle Acid and Red Fang. Loud as hell too, just what a stoner rock show needs. Red Bull stage had some gems too. Free Fall, Black Moth, Buffalo Summer and Sky Valley Mistress were all fantastic sets, again with great sound!
13. Excellent transaction- very fast postage. If this was eBay George would have got five stars from me!
