  1. It really needs a tort pickguard on. Lovely bass! Enjoy 😎
  2. Another first class transaction with Loz. I bought his LPB Precision bass, and what a bass! Absolutely lovely and a credit to its creator @walshy. So a quick drive over to Ashton to collect the bass in person, made to feel very welcome with the opportunity to try the bass and a coffee as well. Perfect! Cheers Loz and all the best.
  3. I did opt for the CS pickups, thanks @Lozz196, which were fitted a while back. To my ears they made a big, and very nice difference. Without having a same bass with the stock pickups alongside to A/B it's difficult to make a comparison after a few months of being fitted but what I can say is that it was money well worth spending.
  4. That is absolutely lovely
  5. Forgive my ignorance but could it be shipped to England from NI?
  6. Great stuff, I bet he did and at least you’re gigging! Yes, I got it on Tuesday but I’ve not had much time to do anything with it. I’m away at the moment for a few days in the camper. When it arrived the action was a bit too high, even for me. So after quite a lot of tinkering with the truss rod I’ve finally got it somewhere close. I had a lot of buzzing on the 18th which was concerning me but it’s sorted now. The brief time I did have it plugged in I was impressed on how nice it sounded so I’m looking forward to getting the time to spend with it.
  7. I will, although I'm sure it will be fine.
  8. Emerald blue. It looks fantastic and I generally like white basses. I've had a few G&L's both tributes and US ones and none have been shielded. I do occasionally do get humming when I'm playing at home no matter what bass I'm using. There's something going on with the electrics in the house but it's not all the time. If it turns out bad, I'm quite happy shielding it. £350 is a great price. I know how good Tributes are so it's going to be a lot of bass for the money. I will now have 3 Precisions, a 2021 USA Pro II, a US '95 and this one. The others have flat wounds but this one I'll use with rounds. Looking forward to it arriving,
  9. @neepheid Just ordered one from guitarguitar. How are you getting along with yours?
  10. That rosewood fingerboard looks lovely. I've got the Pro II Precision and build quality and finish is excellent. I wish I were in a better financial position should you decide to move it on, I miss having a Jazz bass.
  11. I bought @Quatschmacher identical Pro II and absolutly love it. The necks are sublime (IMO) and the build quality and finish are first class too. The reshaped body allows easy access to the dusty end of the fingerboard which really helps on the odd occasion I venture up there. If funds were ever to allow, I'd like one of these with the rosewood board or even one like this and have it strung with round wounds but alas, that won't be for a while. Whoever buys this, I'm sure, will be a happy bunny!
  12. Used set of Dunlop Flats for sale. Cut for a through body Precision bass. Well under a year old with light to moderate use. I loved these on my Jazz bass but I found them just a little too bright for my Pbass so were replaced with Labellas. £17 Price includes UK postage.
  13. Oh wow! So cool - really takes me back to the good old days 😎
  14. I was quite surprised with the difference between the stock US pickup on my '95 Precision and the Custom Shop '62 I replaced it with. Well worth the upgrade IMO if you want that old school vibe.
  15. Ben bought some precision pickups from me. Great buyer, fast payment and no messin' A pleasure, Cheers!
  16. Used black 3 ply scratch plate in good used condition. Taken off a USA Precision, probably not a Fender original but a great fit and quality. Price includes UK postage.
  17. A set of used Rotosound (so I was told) flats taken off a Precision bass. Quite a high tension which I like but a bit too dull for me. A great opportunity to try out flat wounds without spending the big bucks. Price includes UK postage.

  19. For sale are a set of Precision pickups taken from my '95 made in USA bass. Price includes UK postage
  20. I need that chair in my life! Nice bass BTW 😎
  21. I've used UPS for a couple of years now without any issue. I've only had two occasions when the (UK) delivery wasn't on the following day but to be fair they have been excellent.
  22. I have a set of Rotosound fitted to a Precision bass and they do seem pretty dull and muted to me across all 4 strings but all balanced. They're ok but I preferred the Labellas I had on a Pbass I once owned. On my other Precision I've recently fitted a set of Detroit flats. Like the OP the A,D and G are fine, quite nice sounding in fact but the E is nowhere. I've tried re stringing a couple of times but its makes no difference. I'm wondering if it doesn't like thru body stringing? The bridge on my US '95 P is thru body only BTW. So, I replaced the offending E with a Dunlop where the difference is night and day. It blends nicely with the Elites and when the A,D&G newness wares off I think it'll be spot on and what I want to hear from my bass.
  23. Lozz sold me a set of Precision pickups. A first class Basschatter who was happy to hold them for me until payday. Great comms and speedy postage - Perfect. Cheers 😎
  24. I have a '95 US Precision Bass that I'd like to upgrade pup wise, a set of Labellas and use as my 'Motown bass'. So my question is, what's the difference between the two pickups and what set to go for?
  25. I'm now the proud owner of Peters Fender Precision Pro II. 😎 A great transaction with a top Basschatter. Perfect communications throughout! Very happy with the excellent bass and excellent seller. Cheers!
