  1. Two too many strings for me I'm afraid. I'd love a second Roscoe as they're so darn good and this is a great price for one. Pity my limited talent is limited to 4 strings only!
  2. These are such good basses. I owned one but alas, was too heavy for use in the band so I had to say goodbye. This one however at 8.2Lbs is incredible for a modern Precision, just wish I had the £££

  4. Just bought a TD650 from Lee. Really easy and hassle free transaction with prompt communications. Happy to meet half way in Birmingham which I'm very grateful for! Another top Basschatter. Cheers Lee 😎
  5. Sorry Steve, I don't have a box or case to send it in, just a gig bag I'm afraid.
  6. They’re the strings that came with it when I bought it. Nothing special, just nickel rounds.
  7. Reality check time. Do I like this bass? Hell yes. Do I need this bass? Well, no. It's an excellent bass, I mentioned in a thread here that it's one of the finest Precisions I've owned and I really can't fault it. At 8Lbs 12oz it's lighter than my US bass and a joy to play. It sounds fab and for once, I had no desire to start looking at new pups. The fit and finish on these Mex P's is as good as I've seen on any of my US ones. The neck is the wide but shallow 50's type which I find very comfortable to play. The action was low when I got it, too low for me so I set it up to my clumsy liking so if low actions is your thing, this will happily accommodate. Condition is excellent for a used bass, absolutely no issues to report, only the slightest surface scratches here and there. Nothing to photograph. I fitted the white guard as in the pictures as I simply hate the feel of the gold anodized one. I like the look of them but that's all! The gold one will be included in the sale as will be the Fender gig bag it came with. So why am I selling? I use my Roscoe for the band as it covers everything. It's my main bass and quite superb in every way. I have a '95 US Precision which I cannot bring myself to part with and mostly, I need to sort my amplification requirements out which will be expensive. I don't have a box to ship it in so it's collection only from St Helens in the North West. I could possibly meet up if not too far for diesel costs or a Greggs veggie pastie. No trade offers please and the price is firm. I can take more pics if required but there's loads out there to view on line. Again, the condition is excellent so nothing really to show.

  9. I've never owned or even played on a custom shop bass but that made pretty grim reading considering the prices. You'd have to expect nothing less than perfection. I bought a Vintera Precision off eBay a few weeks back and have to say it's one of the finest Precisions I have played. Lighter than my other Pbasses. looks great with the gold scratch plate replaced with a white one. The neck and frets are perfect with a very low action which I raised quite a bit to suit my liking and it sounds killer, absolutely no need to change the pickups. I can't fault it in any way and all for under £500!

Dave bought my LPB Custom Precision bass. Great Basschatter and great transaction, just how it should be! Cheers Dave 👍
  11. Tentatively putting the wonderful bass up for sale as I really need to sort my amplification out which will be pricy. Something local to me has come up for sale which really floats my boat but if it sells before this I'll probably withdraw it. Anyhow. I bought this here earlier in the year and it's not left the house. I mainly use my other Precision as it's well 'roadworn'. The LPB finish is gorgeous and I really wanted to keep it that way! I added a vintage off white pick guard and Fender thumb rest. I was going to replace the BadAss bridge and fit covers but I saw sense and left it be. Other than that it's in the same excellent condition as in the photos shown in the link below. (Much better pics than I can manage). It's fitted with Labella flats but can fit rounds if required. It comes with a hard case and postage is possible but I'd obviously prefer collection or meet up. Price is firm and no trade offers please. All the details and history of the bass are explained below on the links.
  12. Well this makes bleak reading as my newly acquired twin channel LMK went bang at rehearsal last night. Only the second time I've used it. I'm guessing is quite old as its long discontinued so probably beyond economic repair (if even repairable). Pity, as when it was working it sounded great. I'll try maying inquiries but I'm certainly not going to hold my breath. I've always liked Markbass amps and never had an issue with the many I've owned over the years so I've not had a bad run in all honesty but this will be the last second hand one I'll buy.
  13. Great price indeed. For once, I wish I lived in London! BTW, Is Knutsford Services on the M6 'reasonable' 😉 😉 GLWTS
  14. Just bought a Marinas LMK gig bag from Alan. Came in first class condition and very well packed. Great communications and prompt delivery too. Perfect! 👍
  15. Alex bought my BassBone preamp pedal. A really easy fuss free transaction and a pleasure to deal with. Cheers Alex. 😎
  16. For sale is my Radial Bassbone 2 channel preamp. I've only used this a few times at rehearsals so its in the same great condition as when I bought it, new twin channel amp forces sale. No trades please. Original listing and details in the link below. £120 plus P&P
  17. I have a Markbass combo that I want to use just as a cab as I want to try a different head. The combos speaker connects to the head via a 1/4 jack so I'd need a female connector for that and the means of connecting that to my speakon lead. I found a female 1/4 to speakon lead but it was a little too short. I found the exact solution but it was located in America, can't find anything here yet.
  18. Now I am confused. I thought that was the male end connector, i.e plugs into the female input on the back of your cab. What I'm after is a connector that a standard speakon cable will plug into with a female 1/4 the other end. Found one. But in the US. 🙄 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271807459737?hash=item3f48fcb199:g:SvEAAOSwG-1WznRm
  19. It's a Speakon connector I'm after, not XLR but getting close!
  20. I've looked on eBay and couldn't find anything. I'm after a short female jack input speaker patch lead connected to a female speakon connector the other end. If not, is there anybody out there making custom leads? Ta.
  21. I've tried the Tone Bone a few times and I've spent a lot of time fiddling with it but just can't seem to get it right. I think it was with the precision that I had issues with no matter what channel I used. I'll dig it out and try again. Ideally I like to just use an amp which has the two channels with their own inputs EQ section, the GR as suggested by @Merton looks very impressive and fits the bill but sadly way out of my price range at the moment.
