  1. The bass comes with the gig bag as in the picture. The Aguilar pickup and Tone Pump are factory fitted as far as I’m aware.
  2. Right, back up for sale. The original sale fell through so in the end I decided to keep it. But as my G&L didn't sell (traded for a lighter bass) I really must sell this.
  3. I've had a few generous trade offers but what would really tickle my fancy will be a a good Precision/Jazz type bass 9Lbs or under. I defiantly wouldn't be able to add any cash to the deal unfortunately.
  4. Who would have known that clown vomit could be so expensive! 🤡
  5. They made some from basswood and I'm sure they were lighter, I'm pretty sure the white L2000's are basswood. If the new ones are around the 9Lbs mark, or under I'll be having one for sure.
  6. The Joshua Tree was also my introduction to bass playing as a yoof and thus became a U2 fanatic at the time. I finally got to see them at the old Wembley stadium in '93 which was quite awesome. I was told by the seller that these Ashdown cabs were made for AC as part of a backline, whether that's true or not I don't know but plugged into that Ampeg head they sounded huge. I played a good few larger gigs at the time with them. Back then I was much younger and fitter!
  7. Yep, floats my boat too. Always fancied an LB and that colour combination just dose it for me. The only possible downside would be if it were too heavy, if not then I'd pull the trigger on one.
  8. Will sell for £840 without the case and a nice gig bag thrown in.
  9. For sale is my G&L USA Fullerton Standard Jazz Bass in Emerald Blue Metallic. Back up for sale at £850 (firm). In absolutely mint condition, bought new a year ago with East J-Retro fitted. Original control plate included as is the G&G Fender case. I bought this bass new last December as I fancied a jazz bass and love G&L basses. When I saw this one in the Emerald Blue I just had to get it. It's only really had home use and a couple of band practices and lived in its case. Although its no lightweight (10 Lbs) I decided to keep it where other heavier basses were being sold as I liked it so much, but, the opportunity to buy back an old much loved Precision of mine meant that something had to go so with a heavy heart it's time to say goodbye. The build quality and finish of the US G&L's is IMO superb. This bass has that 'something' whereas the Fender J's I've owned have left me a little 'meh'. A couple of months ago I fitted the J-Retro 01 (£200) as the new bands material required a more versatile bass and a good decision it was too. Collection from Merseyside, can meet up/deliver if not too far or shipped (UK) with UPS for £30.
  10. And replied. And on hold. I've had a flurry of PM's in the last 10 minutes so apologies for delays in replies. @maxmckee Sorry mate, you were just pipped to the post.
  11. Some (maybe earlier ones) had EMG's. The plastic knobs are included.
  12. Reluctant sale of a cracking bass that I've not had for very long. The opportunity came up to buy back an old and much loved Precision and I just couldn't refuse. So to fund it I have to sell 🙁 This is a Czech made Spector Rebop MM. TonePump(with trim pot) pre - Bass/Treble & Vol and Aguilar pup. 7 lbs 9oz so says the kitchen scales. I genuinely really like this bass. Lightweight, comfortable, sounds great and fast action. When I got it I raised the strings to accommodate my heavy handedness so the current action will go much lower. The neck is slimmer to the Euro LX I once owned and it's very pleasing on the eye. Quilted maple and matte blue stain. I've been using it at rehearsals where it cuts through lovely and has been a joy to play. The bass is in as new condition, I couldn't find a mark on it and comes with the Spector gig bag. The knobs have been changed to the ones pictured and the original ones will be included. Sale only as I really now do need the funds. £620 Can post for £30 with UPS (UK only) once I get a suitable box. Collection welcome or I can meet/deliver if not too far.
  13. I was just looking for it and couldn't find it. Bugger 🙁
  14. Nick bought my Embassy bass. No fussin' and no messin', a top basschatter to deal with in every way. Cheers! 😎
  15. Just stunning, absolutely beautiful! I’m so lucky to own one of these.
  16. Be strong Stew, be strong! Resist the GAS. Unlike me...
  17. I can fully understand why you'd want this back! That is stunning.
  18. Agggh! Only bought a new set on Friday 🙄 Bargain.
  19. Personally, yes but I'm sure someone mentioned that the smaller size of the headstock might make them look a bit out of place. But I might be mistaken... Photoshop anyone?
  20. For the first time in a few months I gave 'Shrek' (my Wanderlust Green) Embassy a play today and really enjoyed it. I've been so tied up in learning my new bands set which really requires a more fast/modern active bass that poor old Shrek has been idling in its gig bag. I forgot just how light weight it is and TBH how much I missed the old school tone with flats fitted. I was thinking about parting with it as I can't stand having basses sitting idle and not being used but I really enjoyed playing some Beatles and Kinks etc. I'll be on the look out for some replacement tuners as the stock ones are crap and keeping it just for revisiting some old 60's favourites.
