  1. And replied. Still here. I've been trying to find a suitable box and packaging but so far nothing yet. I'm not too keen on shipping this without being 100% satisfied that it's packed well.
  2. Just checked the drivers and they're Eminence and look very much like the Deltalites.
  3. It sounds fine at low volume, can't really pump it up at home. Admittedly I only plugged it in to check it worked ok. I have nothing to compare it to but it's more about the weight. As soon as I picked it up I thought that it was heavier than expected.
  4. I'll be giving the shop a ring in the morning then. I'll hope for a partial refund and get a good Neo driver to replace it as the whole reason for getting this was down to weight. I'm not too bothered about having a yellow speaker in it anyhow!
  5. Also, what would be a suitable (best possible) Neo replacement for it? I'm assuming it would be 300w 8 Ohm.
  6. I’d have thought so, although I have had Markbass gear with black speakers in the past.
  7. Just bought one of these combos second hand and its fitted with an Eminence Gamma speaker. I thought Markbass cabs/combos were all fitted with Neo drivers or and I mistaken? I just wanted to be 100% sure about this before I call the shop tomorrow.
  8. I wouldn’t know as I never go on TB. I don’t think that there’s many of these about, it’s only the second one I’ve ever seen. I played through one at a bass bash many years ago which sounded fantastic. When this one came up for sale I snapped it up.
  9. Would you want yore gear smelling of chips or sh!ts? 😉
  10. I didn't seem that long ago that I bought a few for around the £600 mark. Crazy money now.
  11. I recently bought a secondhand Rickenbacker 4003 for 1500 quid. To me a sh!t load of money but probably a good investment.
  12. I've suffered on and off with it since my late teens and having jobs that involved heavy lifting hasn't helped much! The latest episode happened when walking the dogs one morning. For no reason its just 'went'. I have to keep my bass gear up stairs so I really need to think about what I have to carry up and down hence the 1x12 neo move. As well as a pain in my back its a pain in the a*se!
  13. Dropped to £250 collected. Need the room!
  14. Cheers Stew. I'm not going to lose any sleep if it don't sell. I kind of forgot just how good this sounded with the valve pre.

  16. The cull continues.... 😪 This is my late eighties AH300 in fantastic condition. Bought not too long ago off @Deedee. This is superb! No issues UV light works and runs almost silent. Trace Elliot at its finest. Loads of power as you'd expect and in excellent condition for and amp of this vintage. I'll be really sorry to see this go, its been my main amp and hasn't missed a beat but due to my chronic back condition I just can't handle it anymore. Its going to be replaced by a 1x12 Markbass combo. I could keep it as a trophy amp but it needs to be used and appreciated and not gathering dust! Collection From St Helens Merseyside or I can deliver/meet within reasonable distance at fuel cost.
  17. For sale is my Ampeg Portaflex PF-500. 500w at 4 Ohm, 300w at 8 Ohm. I only bought this amp a couple of weeks ago of ebay for the asking price above but now surplice to requirements. In great condition, comes with aluminium case as pictured. Works fine, no issues. I used it last Tuesday night with my DR cab (for sale here) and performed superbly but with a new lightweight combo incoming its no longer needed. Can be collected from St Helens Merseyside of couriered (UK) for about £15 (any less I'll refund).
  18. I'm having a big rethink of my gear after a particularly bad episode with my back a couple of weeks ago and seriously downscaling size wise. First up is my DR Bass cab. Although its a lightweight Neo cab I'm opting for a single 12" solution and a possible extension cab in the near future. I bought this cab second hand last year and TBH I don't know a great deal about it. Made in the USA (not sure when), in very good condition and 600w at 4 ohms. It dose exactly what I'd expect from it. Sounds great with the heads I've used with it. Bright, clear and punchy. Collection from St Helens Merseyside or I can meet/deliver within reasonable distance at fuel costs.
  19. Oh bugger. If I was just 30 years younger I'd be all over this!
  20. First cab that always come to mind is the Genz-Benz Neo-X. 2x12 600w @ 4Ohms and lightweight. Probably one of the finest of the many cabs I've owned. You'd get one of these secondhand for well under £500. But theres probably many modern lightweight cabs that do an excellent job for that kind of money. Buy second hand though as £500 will get you a great cab.
