Sold elsewhere

Thanks for the recommendation Mr bagsieblue
4. I don't know how to judge if they are legit or not, but if you're in the market here's the link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130862456855?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
5. If I had unlimited funds I'd love to own a Ritter bass. Enjoying the aesthetics of your bass imho is part of the pleasure of picking it up to play and practice. My personal choice would be the Roya body shape.

7. What's been said really from my point of view. Try and play sympathetically with the feel of the song and with what you hear and don't overplay early on as achknalligewelt said above. I love writing originals with our band - far more than playing covers. Carpe diem.
8. That's bad. I listened to 10 Years After an a lot when I first got into music.
9. How about this, in stock now so none of the agonising waiting http://www.acguitars.co.uk/Available/46/

What flats?

I'm going to lob the Fender CL9050s into the mix. Nice strings, not too stiff, in the gauge range you want and good value at £20 or so a set.
11. I've been there a few times when live music was on, but I'm afraid I can't help you on the PA front much as it looked different every time so I assumed the band brought their own. You could perhaps ask them to take a couple of pics of the equipment and send them to you. Nice venue though. I live around a mile away. If you can give me a few details of the event etc and any contact name(s) I'd be happy to pop in and ask for you.

13.
Manchester Bass Lounge!!!! In Worsley. I live in Worsley and never knew about this place. A definite visit is in order.
Check the website, call Drew to make an appointment (that's the way he works) and make sure you have a responsible adult with you at all times

15. Check out ACG on here too (affiliates section). Alan does some stunning s/cut basses. http://www.acguitars.co.uk/Gallery/
16. Perhaps we should have an 'everybody bring a P bass" session at the MBB next year? Might upset Alan though, so on second thoughts maybe not.
17. Isn't that in the front of a book somewhere? Lee Sklar possibly, can't remember...
18. The wrong side of 50 and currently doing around 10-12 hours / week + band practices.
19. Or, maybe you need one of these... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/173590-acg-build/page__st__20 see post #28 for the spec.
