1. ooooh, nice!!! Let us know how the gig goes with that monster.
2. LOTS OF INTEREST AND SALE NOW PENDING. THERE IS A QUEUE IN CASE SALE FALLS THROUGH! Hiya guys. I got this off Mark Latimour about 6 months back and its been integral to my set up since. However, after flirting with a Shep-esque board I am downsizing again. Anyway, this is an absolutely immense piece of custom kit. It is two completely separate (but connectable) parallel (blend) loops, so you can blend in clean signal, which I find is pretty essential for ensuring bass retention. There's more!! Each loop has a switchable blend setting (red or blue) so you can have 2 more or less wet or dry settings for each loop. There's more!! Each loop has an impedance dial (variable Z) so you can adjust impedance to suit passive or active input (great for fuzzes which are sensitive to hot input). All in all, well designed, useful, centrepiece for a pedal board. 9VDC power not supplied. You can see it's in good condition, with one slightly recessed LED but still works perfectly. How much for such brilliance? An unbelievable £87 posted UK firm - no offers please since I need to get what I paid back.
3.
Well, now my rig looks like this I can add comment. Basically... Jesus! It's very well built, has a very and even uncoloured sounding tone, weighs nothing and allows me to release the full 1000W from the Puma making it shockingly loud. The tweeter adds a subtle sparkle up top which to be honest I'm finding nearly unnecessary as the midrange driver sounds so good. And the midrange driver can also be fully unleashed by another switch adding a lot of aggression to the tone if you want it. It only arrived today, but I'm wondering why on earth I never did this months ago considering the ability to take a trial is always there. Much though I love my Bergs, I can't see them surviving this.
Immense mate. I have a Puma 500 into a compact and midget t. It sounds like I always imagined I wanted my bass to sound live. Perfect modular set up too in terms of some gigs with both, some with cmpact, some with midget t. Brilliant.
4.
I had two Peavey 4x10s in my rig many years ago. They sounded fantastic but, oh my god... they weighed more than Belgium.
yeah. I remember when I had my first proper rig, which was a Laney 300w head with a Laney 4x10 and 1x15. I thought I was in heaven till i upgraded to peavey 410tx cabs - really felt like a massive step up. I preferred them in AB with SWR cabs. Weighed an absolute ton. In fact I retained one TX until recently and only got rid when I got my Barefaced set up. No antiPeavey snobbery from me.
5.
it'll be stinkin' then (sorry, couldn't resist) interesting though!
steady! As a season ticket holder at the Holy Ground (Easter Road) and living 5 mins down the road, this is cracking news. certainly more fun than watching the Hibees at the moment.
6. top banana, all good. posted in wanted. The badger had the gear. Deal done. Smooth as. Recommend all the way for any and all business. Rich

8. lovely. I am a Tecamp convert. This is class. Good luck!
9. real nice. your amp is so small it looks like it's in the distance sitting on your vintage!
10. i keep coming back and back again to this. Amazing since I dont like single cut or headless!!
11.
Only issue with cheaper laptops is if you try running it with out a dedicated soundcard you can get a lot of unwanted noise. For me a loaded keyboard just makes sense to me, especially for hands on regular stuff.
absolutely, wasn't meaning to suggest you were doing something mental, makes perfect sense. Really just for guys like me who want a decent enough home set up that can also be used live. If I was actually playing keyboard rather than just sequencing etc then I'd do what you are.
12. TBH these days you can get a decent old laptop, a controller and some plug-ins and your away. I understand not gigging with a £1200 Mac but £2-300 laptop etc not much difference between that and a loaded keyboard. More of a hassle maybe but not massive.
13. Mad rush of desperate PMs?? wonder why? Must be the Tanglewood. it couldn't be the rubbishy Ibby, which is well overpriced at £100
14. I am sorry if this has been covered but noticed these two new metallic Warwick finishes. Hate the bronze one but quite like the rusty one.
15.
Has anyone seen one of these in the UK yet? Looks very interesting.
http://www.sourceaud...le_eq/index.php looks very interesting indeed. I haven't seen any in UK yet. Thomann are usually first in Europe and now Bass Direct carry SA. They had lost their UK distributor, not sure whether BD are now the distributors. Will Cady hangs about here occasionally, maybe he will update us.

DHA VT2
Sorry resurrect this, but I'm looking at DHA pedals at the moment. I was condering a catalinbread sft as the utube vids show it as a nice clean always on tube emulator that gets overdriven when you dig in. Do the DHA pedals work in the same way? Cheers Chris
I didn't find the DHA responded in the way the SFT is supposed to with that ability to drive based on attack - you set the drive level on the DHA and you were off. Obviously dynamics would allow for variation in tone but it didn't work quite like the SFT. I loved the VT2 (twin channel), I would quite fancy a VT1 (single channel), although purely to do with real estate on my board I have gone for a SFX red dragon, which I hear good things about.
17.
I used to have one of those. Sounded great (lovely crunchy drive sound), and really tweakable, but it was physically HUGE. Including the valves and protective handle thing, it must be about 5 inches tall.
that was actually my VT2 which I sold on partly because it was HUGE
18. i cannot wait to see this - will it have UV under lights etc?

flanger/chorus

I use separate chorus and flanger. I was interested in the Markbass combo unit, which is big and expensive but sounds good.
20. I like a man who doesnae know his erse fae his elbow. Welcome.
21. as a Hibs fan from Leith, green is in my blood. This is the holy grail. I would worship at it like an altar.
22. bar-gaain. One day people will look back at the days these types of basses went for this price and think "**** me!" Someone take this fab bass of this man's hands quick.
