2.
I feel like I've learned a lot about working with wood.
as the porn star said to the bishop . . .
3. absolutely awesome!!! Great looking bass, great finish, great choice of pickups etc.
4.
OTOH if you've seen the other video of this where he takes as long to set up the bass to play in tune in all the different tuning combinations as it does to actually play the piece you may wonder if it's really worthwhile...
i dont really wonder at all. it is worth it. I appreciate microwave cooking as much as anyone, but also I like slow cook stuff that requires patience and preparation. Takes all sorts. (didn't think you were slagging it off, BTW so I am not having a go, just registering that 7 mins tuning for this aint such a big deal)
5. this looks pretty awesome. I cant wait to hear how it stacks up.
6. As mentioned, there's so many angles on this. For example, there's a 3 leaf audio PWNZOR for sale on here - it's a good pedal for enhancing/fattening tone, organic feel etc. Bongo describes it as the opposite of the MXR, which is more transparent, and better at limiting, so suits slap better. So that gives you one perspective. You mention control. In this regard I would refer you to FEA labs and Empress, which strike me as very near the top of the pedal comp league table. Metering is pretty important if you are concerned about control. That takes you on to rack mounted, where you get as much control as you could want.
7.
I actually got to play this with Limahl a couple of weeks back I used the Beggs transcription but just made some changes by ear as it didn't sit right with me either. He seemed to like my version
ooooh get you
8. inasmuch as guys try to push the boundaries, this is the guy who amazes me most. I dont claim he's the best cause it's not clear best at what, but he is someone I can listen to, enjoy, admire, be amazed by.
9.
SFX Red Dragon
yes to this - very "clean" OD with added advantage of tiny footprint on board.

Myrtle Pedals?

Hugh responded to my plea on here. I sent him the fuzz pedal and he made adjustments in line with my needs. No charge. Fantastic service, brilliant pedal, real gent. I would thoroughly recommend people check out Myrtle Pedals.
12.
ok so heres my humble pedalboard
not so humble with a VT2 on it - king of valve OD pedals!
13.
Here you go... http://www.sourceaud...nd/midi_exp.php Rich, are you on Organic Bass Wobble?
not on facebook mate, assuming that's the site? I need to "borrow" the missus's account - to be recommended?
14. Here's Nathan taking us through his NAMM board, which I notice has a couple of Source Audio 2nd gen pedals on it and their new expression pedal. I love this guy, really do. Not always perfect but can come out with some great solo stuff and more melodic stuff:
15. look at the fingerboard!!! that is one immense looking bass.
16. @bobpalt - is that a Finn 4 headed? It's magical. One of the nicest I have ever seen.
17. i had one of these. Liked it a lot. Sold it on here. Good luck!
18. The basscam shot it excellent if you actually want to see Tony L play it - it's a pick not funk fingers. Higgie from here does a good video.
19. had a DHA VT2, great pedal. Traded it in for a new SFX micro red dragon, which is excellent. I think Clarky has gone for a custom red dragon too. I would recommend looking at Max's pedals.
20. isn't taste a fabulous and bizarre thing?! i cant abide antigua and so I wouldn't take this bass for a 1/10 of the price. Great that it floats your boat though.
21. some are local but not from Edinburgh!! Welcome from across the border in the people's republic of leith!!
22. friday night bump for new reduced price. Final few days before eBay.
