  1. My custom molded plugs with Elacin ER15's are amazing. The clarity is superb. I have tried the Isolates but they cut too much of the guitar for me so I now use them on my motorbike.
  2. Worth reading how the Barefaced Retro Two 10 works. Vertical for more clarify and horizontal for more bottom end. Very clever and very good cab.
  3. Been doing this for years. No problem. Done to help vocals.
  4. My TC Classic 450 and Barefaced Two 10 is pretty small. Does most of the venues we play. DI to PA for larger venues.
  5. Will help to say where you are based. Good luck with your search.
  6. I agree. The main hall is crazy loud. Unless you want to get it set up, if you can even do that, IMO bringing a bass is a waste of time and effort.

    Trace Elliott

I was well impressed with my AH200 back in the day. BTW its Trace Elliot not Trace Elliott
  8. I've still got my SB600 with set neck. Looks a bit odd with a paduke red headstock. Plays really good. The stock pup died but a new Seymour Duncan soap bar pup has given it a new lease of life.
  9. Another for the Peavey TNT 150 and cheap TE kit . Belting sound for not a lot other than the weight.
  10. Not noticed this with many different strings. Thicker the better I suppose.
  11. Haven't seen him for a while. Whatever happened to him and his fondness for filing the nuts!
  12. I don't have any loggins trouble as our band covers the Good Charlotte version of Footloose. All sorted now so this thread can retire peacefully
  13. I'm glad you have discovered TE. I had an AH200 for years. Definitely agree with not using the mid pre shape, especially live. I boosted the low mids and had a great live sound and with my Ray cut through the mix. I use a TC 450 head and Barefaced Retro 210. Do I miss my TE head? Yeah I do at times but I'm happy with my current rig and glad I ran some TE equipment in my past. I'd be interested to hear what you make of it in gig situation.
  14. I'm with you scrumpymike. I don't know about this amp. Does it noy have an input gain level light of some sort? What does it sound like and does it change much if you set the levels as you suggest?
  15. We are playing at our favourite regular pub again. We do an extra half hour set after midnight. 200 tickets all sold out. Should be a blast
  16. Much the same for us - We have also used the ABBA to AC/DC thing too . Bit of punk, pop & blues thrown in for us.

    Same here!
  18. As ever some great recordings here. A pleasant way to spend some time this morning whilst waiting for my grown up family to wake up!
  19. Used to have one of these years ago. Can't remember what I did with it. GLWS.
  20. You have to leave room on the stage for the invisible bear Blue! Is it lurking behind by the drummer waiting for you to makes your moves?
  21. Jesus. That is awesome. The Ric sounds great - as does everything really!
  22. War Pigs was quite a challenge for me. Lots to remember and it keeps your fingers busy. Good Times Bad Times was a handful at first.
  23. I too carry my old set of strings in case of a breakage. If I have bought some new strings in bulk there will be a set in my gig bag too.
  24. Double your usual fee is about right for some pubs. That's what we do with our regular NYE pub, although I'm trying to get a bit more for 2018 as they want us yeast again!
