1. Was a very haphazard gig last night. We played for an old band member's 40th. In a small community centre, that used to be a chapel. Tiny stage, no monitors, vocal only PA and the drum kit took up most of the stage. Couldn't heard the guitarist nor the vocals only the snare and a crash cymbal, that was about 10" away from my right ear. We were a bit scrappy on the new songs but we went down well. On the up side I did get to play through an Ampeg 8x10" and found I didn't like it. So that's a relief to my wallet.

7. Steve Harris JJ Burnel Mike Watt Les Claypool Rob Wright John Entwistle Justin Chancellor Chuck Dukowski Joe Lally Cliff Burton
8. I couldn't decide between a new laptop (I want one of the new MacBook Pros now) and a Shuker JJ. So I'm buying a house instead, killing GAS stone dead for the foreseeable future.
9. Somewhere I may have the Ashdown badge from the spare grill you gave me. So it someone buys this and really does want a badge I can send it them... provided I find it... EDIT: These 4x8" really are great cabs. They push out a hell of a lot of low end for their size.

14.
And... if anyone knows what effect(s) the bass player (Commerford?) is using, I'd be grateful...
Getting back to the point, this kid gets a pretty good tone.
15.
No way! The drummer smells.
They all do, don't they? Is that why they did the video on the top of a building? Plenty of ventilation!
16.
Cochise by Audioslave. Learning it as an opener for our set. EPIC! Not sure where we're going to get all the bloody fireworks from, though.
Don't forget to do the group hug.
17. A bit of Justin Broadrick:
18. 20 years ago today Angel Dust was released: I also remember this performance very well (I was doing naughty things to the girlfriend when this was on):
19. My band keep taking about getting 2nd guitarist. It always was a 5 piece until I joined (the other guitarist left just before I joined). I prefer 4 piece, but I'll give it a go with another one. If I don't enjoy it I'll leave the band.
20.
I think a splitter/summer that has multiple outs/ins with a filter on each out. So for example, if it had 3 outs, you could have the 1st out so it just sends lows (stuff below 150hz), the 2nd sending at @ 3-400hz & the 3rd sending the higher stuff (all filters adjustable with just one or two dials) so you can put different effects on each & then sum them back together within the said pedal. Each "in" with a level control to balance them up & maybe the ability to invert the phase on each one too.
So a nice simple pedal? I like it!
21.
Are they so great and trustworthy, and consistent, that you would happily purchase one new without trying it?
I bought my Steve Harris sig new and untried. As far as I can tell it's fine. It is a Japanese made Fender though, not sure I'd buy an American or Mexican made one unplayed.
22. Finally got around to taking a photo of my set up and a bass (all acquired from BassChat):
23. If I had the money I'd be interested too!
