1. I meant to add: I prefer stage left, so the risk of headstock/cymbal clashing is reduced.
 2. I've got 5. Björk being one of them. Björk creates much more interesting music than Rush.
 3. One of these? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Step-Down-Voltage-Converter-220v/dp/B000XROE3Y
 4. From Wiki The company was founded in 1997 by Mark Gooday, a chief engineer and manager at Trace Elliot during their glory years.
 5. I took my, nearly completed, refurbed Corvette Proline to band practice for the first time on Wednesday. Despite the fact it's had a very hard life it played and sounded fantastic.
 6.
That pic puts me in mind of the back cover of Ummagumma... But looking at it today, it doesn't seem to be that much gear really, does it? At the time this amount of gear astounded me! Nice lamp, by the way.
I prefer Einstürzende Neubauten's take on it:
 7.
Nice bass, ropey vocals.
Yeah, I just hope they were at the end of the set.
 8. The CD just arrived, with a free Curly-Wurly! Now my favourite band EVER!
 9.
Take the 'ray pre and put it in a pedal. Change to a John East and ask for an additional clean output (or stereo output with one side clean), merge the two signals in a box with a blend and ultimate 'ray sound How's that?
That's an awesome idea... and I did not see it...
 10.
All I want to do now is put gold on my fretless 'vette. Dammit!! Looks sweet man!
I'm not a fan of gold hardware really (unless it's a black Wal or Black SB Elite), but the bass just reminds me of an old sideboard that needed brass-ish handles, if you know what I mean...
 11.
Thanks for all the love, guys! We actually do have tees too! http://alphamaleteap...ubber-ducky-tee
I shall get me one of those those when payday rolls around!
 12.
no credit to me, their product speaks for itself. no matter how hard i try, i CANNOT get bored of this.
Listened to it a few times in work today. I now have 4 favourite bands that have/had BassChat members in...
 13.
Is this on iPlayer or something?...
I think only 2 songs were televised.
 14. What was he playing through though? The Marshall, Fender and Hi-Watt heads that were on the cabs or the Ashdown sat on the floor next to the cabs?
 15.
Does it have the speaker emulating roll off like the VT?
Says it has Speaker Emulation:
 16.
A square speaker? Would that even work?
Apparently
 17. Hipshot o-ring knobs: http://store.hipshotproducts.com/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=233
 18. Ha, thanks. "Amazing job" might be a bit much though. The edge of the fretboard is knackered from too many knocks and chips (and a slip with a file ) But I shall take it to my next band rehearsal and give it a good thrashing.
 19. Decided to take the plunge and re-fret it today. Had to order an 2nd load of fret wire from Banzai Music, as I've lost the first lot. Got a couple of frets to tap down and the ends need a touch more smoothing, but it plays nicely even though it's not been set up at all.
 20.
Presumably where Yamaha got the headstock design for the original Blazer basses?
Ibanez.
 21. Where as I had a MarkBass and didn't like how clinical is sounded, to my ears. Had a brief fling with an Ampeg PF-500, before getting a refund. Now I'm a proud owner of an Ashdown JJ-500, that sounds absolutely fantastic.
 22.
Reason is very simple
Another vote for Reason. Reason Essentials is very reasonably priced too, £85: http://www.propellerheads.se/products/reason/index.cfm?fuseaction=get_article&article=reason-essentials
