1.
Springsteen's renowned for doing overly long sets.
amended for accuracy
  2.
Oh come on guys. Has no one here ever over-ran... or is it that we are mainly just all support acts who can take liberties and leave it up to the main act to take the brunt?
Or the main band hasn't arrived in time and just as you're finishing the set someone tells you you have carry on for another 40 mins! But, I suppose that's not over-running.
  3. When they were announced there was a maple fret boarded version of this: And It was gorgeous! EDIT: But for that much money I'd rather buy a Wal.
  4.
The local (miserable bastards IMO) residents got that curfew imposed. Nevertheless, Springsteen should have conformed to it.
Agreed on both points. EDIT: Although, If I lived near by and knew Springsteen was headlining. I'd have demanded a 9pm curfew!
  5.
Oi you don't be coming round here with your seeing the funny side and spoiling things.
When Springsteen is involved there's nothing funny...
  6.
There's an input gain on the channel surely?
would appear so: http://www.gearnuts.com/images/items/1800/MG206Cusb-xlarge.jpg
  7. Well, there are curfews for a reason. Let Bruce over run for a while and risk losing the licence next year, or cut him off to show you'll do your best to keep to agreed time limits. To be honest, 3 hours of Springsteen should be enough for a lifetime...

  11. The internet has made it a tiny bit easier and a lot less tiring. But I remember coming back from Musical Exchanges, in Coventry and Brum, with loads of catalogues and such. I'd spend days drooling on Trace Elliot, Roland, Aria, Akai and Yamaha catalogues.

The monopitch is pretty impressive really. That was the first time I've used it. Copes with polyphonic playing better than the PitchShift effect. There's also the PedalMonoPitch is the Whammy pedal. It's also pretty good. If you want anything else recorded, just ask.

Here you go, some badly played bass through the 2 different pitch shifter 'pedals' http://soundcloud.com/warm_leatherette/pitchshift from 0:18 - 2:00 is the monopitch pedal, this is the monophonic shift. from 2:005 onwards is the PitchShift The whole patch mix is 50% and then the effects ate blended 75% in.
  14. I use my Steve Harris P that cost me £850, or a EBMM Stingray that was £650 s/h, or a Warwick Corvette Proline that's cost me about £300 (including s/h preamp, and all new gold hardware) of a Dean Edge 4 that cost me £200.
  15.
It's quite true. 'You can't polish a turd,' and so on and so forth.
When will people stop using this incorrect phrase?!?
  16. My faves were the Marshall JMC800 and the Orange AD140B. Didn't think the Marshall would be a favourite.
Will it do a decent sounding octave up?
Depends on your definition of decent. I'll try to do some recordings later if you want.

Battery? It can take batteries? It lives off it's power supply so I don't know.

    New Zoom B3

Still love mine. Gone through a few different phases with it. 1) Recreated a smaller version of my pedal board (phaser, fuzz and mild overdrive) and only used the Zoom 2) Added EHX small stone and Bass Big Muff back on to board and used amp modelling on the Zoom 3) Bought an LS-2 had pedals on one loop and Zoom in the other. which leads to now and tweaking a few patches I've set up, still using LS-2 so I can keep a reasonable dry signal going through the mix. The only thing I'm not really liking is the tuner, seems to be a bit out compared to my Polytune, tuner in Amplitube and the tuner in Reason
