    GK MB500 into BF Super 12 V. As a starting point I use contour 12 o'clock, treble and high mid, cut at 10 o'clock, low mid and bass, cut at 11 o'clock. Then I set for room. I have had a year with this rig to come to this starting point. A few frustrations in that year

[/quote] Jeez that's a blow Muzz, real sorry for you, especially with the birthday treat thing. BUT don't act too much in haste. Why not see if you can get a try on a 4004? More all round sound, better ergonomics for the wrist especially but still undeniably look a Rick. You may be able to get a trade if you find the 4004 more to your taste. Think Reidys may have one in, possibly PMT? Good luck.

    Good luck Nige, you are a good musician, with plenty of contacts. Start your own project with the folk out of the band that are like minded. Or just go for bust by forming your own new band. Or have a look at some other opportunities in your area. Just don't do nothing, iron and hot mate!
