1. Superb basses. Only reason I sold mine is I don't really get on with actives. Then they brought a passive version of this out, which I now have This FSR active really is a very good bass. Mine was as well put together as a Yank, with rolled fingerboard edges and high mass bridge. The active eq covers pretty much all Fender sounds and it's a versatile P/J with a J neck. Good stuff. GLWTS

3. Nice US jazz in Preston. After a mail conversation, quite sure he would take £600 cash if somebody turned up at his house. Even at £650 it looks to be a very good bass for the money. If I hadn't just bought Tom's.................................................. 4. Amazing price for a superb bass
5. Alembic's can not go for any less than this. My luthier said that mine was the best made INSTRUMENT he'd seen in 30 years of er, luthiery.

16. Which Warwick are you refinishing? Better not be the Dolphin Pro 11, I know where you live
17. Another one of Martyn's superb basses. Top fella to deal with so get this one quick peeps. Don't miss out like I did with his super Dolphin Pro 11 BO. Mind, the Yam I did get from him was a bit special as well. GLWTS.
18. You lot better get it bought before tomorrow night (I committed to a bid on FEEBay an hour before this came up, otherwise!! )
19. I had one for a short space of time. It felt uncomfortably light to me and the pups really didn't have the clout I expected, especially the P. Mr Hux probably did the right thing, as basswood certainly seems to have different properties to alder and perhaps just needs those slightly more powerful pups. Be interesting to know if anybody has done the East thing with one!
20. Onwards and upwards Lozz. Cliche but nothing does last forever. Take the good memories with you whilst you still have then, then go create some new good memories with somebody else. Enjoy fella. Karl.
21. I keep coming back to this. What is the nut width please? Also, how low is the action? Sadly it's about 220 miles each way for me and if I was going to buy something vintage I really would like to try it first. TBH I'm really surprised it's still here, it does look fabulous. Cheers, Karl.
22. Cheers Mr Note! may have a think about that.Metallic Green Glaub eh, don't be putting that up for sale, I'm very weak!
23.
Why do you need to email them? The UK dealers are listed on the Lakland website. there is only I've emailed them a couple of times and got prompt replies. The first time Dan Lakin answered my questions personally.
I can only find The Gallery and Guitar Guitar. Stocks are low, most things by order. That to me is not good distribution, The last twice I have mailed them responses have been relatively quick admittedly. The responses were both sadly negative though.
24. Great bass company, woeful UK distribution, Yet you email them about getting some stockists in the UK and they just don't seem bothered. Sad.
25.
Well, I went for that roadworn Jazz bass I was thinking about purchased from fellow bc member The finish is superb It really does look genuinely roadworn I can't believe just how well it plays I've heard others talk of this series being as good as they are talked up to be it plays superbly, sounds great ..... and I love it Would I swap it for a brand new, shiny, unmarked example? Nah....
Hope you didn't find a RW Fiesta Red jazz on here before me
