1. Birdie Song
2. Yowser, 2 cracking Gibbo's up. I need to avoid BC for a few days GLWTS Bump.
3.
These were standard, the ltd Ed was the brownburst Explorer for £700 still, these had the finish on them, so, no wear and tear. Lovely bass, practically a Tbird but for £900 I'd be over the moon ^_^
Quite a few places did advertise them as a Ltd Edition run in late 2011, not just these guys http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=7&ved=0CEIQFjAG&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.themusiczoo.com%2Fproduct%2F7223%2FGibson-Limited-Edition-Explorer-Bass-Silverburst%2F&ei=jNSxUpCULo3d7QaizIGQCw&usg=AFQjCNGouJjXowihK_1Ly0BlKWCJDLSfoA So, they will not be the easiest of basses to get hold of. Sorely tempted. Bump.
4. Think there were Ltd Edition? I know I was very sorely tempted at the time, having gigged an original 84 for twenty years, and loved it. The original didn't have the three point bridge. Where is West Sussex, near the Canary Islands? Great basses for ALL styles, GLWTS bump.
5. The following is done just bass, drums, guitard. Instantly recognisable to me (I SO want to do it!) Yes I am definitely a fanboi on this! ▶ Mr Big - Burn (Deep Purple cover - live instrumental) - YouTube
6. Think I'll Wimp le out of this one.
7.
First NBD for me in a while - here's the Eros Jazz, fresh from the (copious) cardboard & bubblewrap: Pleasantly surprised - under 40 years' grime, the neck's in very good condition, everything's original apart from the nut, no damage apart from the knocks & chips you'd expect. Cleaned up this will be a very nice example of a very early (black button tuners date it to around '71) Japanese Jazz copy. I may give it its own thread. J.
Interesting pups Jon?
8. You lot make a HABIT of bad jokes?
9. I would be asking Black Star (both our guitarses use them) if this is the sort of shop they want representing them. I would be letting Black Star know the problem with this equipment, and the handling of that problem, is being discussed by the flapper mouths of a 28,000 strong bass players community. A lot of whom work with a couple of guitarses. A little "picture painting" can go a long way.
10.
FFS! It's a bloody CONVENT!
So why did I live on NUNNERY Lane then, your bleedin' stroppiness
11. Just done a trade with Dougie today. Lovely bloke, decisive, helpful and the bass I got is amazing. So easy, thanks for everything Dougie. Deal with utmost confidence peeps (ps hope you enjoyed the Sabbs Dougie!) Cheers, Karl.
12. I know my back and temper both enjoy my S12V. If you don't like the look, sound, don't get one. Why the need for your tuppence worth. Vote, move on. If you don't like the look, don't get one. If you have never USED ONE YOURSELF, don't criticise. Some folk on here would cause a battle in a nunnery.
13. Very nice indeed kinda bump.
14. Just sold a bass to Paul. Such an easy transaction and really nice bloke. Thoroughly recommended and thanks for making it so easy Paul. Enjoy the bass fella, all the best, Karl.
15.
Something Jazz shaped incoming Karl - at least I know I can deal with a 1.5" nut width (oo err, missus)

And I didn't have to pay the £50 premium
16.
Atomic Rooster - Death Walks Behind You.
Excellent, that's at least 3 of us remember it. In Hearing Of was pretty damn good too!
17. A trade? Clarky, your head is so easily turned by a pretty picture
18. Owner of S12V. Weekend warrior doing 40/50 gigs per annum. Wasn't convinced at first having gone from a Schroeder 410. Bit of advice from Alex re EQ/amp/basses and it all works superbly for me now, about 40 gigs in. I hope it will be the last cab I use. edited, bloody spelling
19. Thanks Nick. I might re-do the photos as the light makes it look like the surface is all scratched. It isn't, it's in superb condition.
20.
I'd take this back in the blink of an eye (AGAIN!)... if it weren't for the fact I am trying to clear a couple of wall hangers!
I just missed it when you sold it. The band keep telling me my timing's sh*te
21.
You will regret it
Unlikely Mr. MACHINE, I won't be gigging it on the pub circuit we do as I will be terrified of drunks cannoning off it and spoiling the headstock finish.
