1. PANTS! Just realised I have a gig on that Sunday afternoon... the only afternoon gig I've had this year! Unfortunately it's at The White Swan in Morpeth so no chance of doing a doubler and attending both. Sorry MB.
 2.
Hi Guys When travelling to gigs I need to keeo my combo in the boot of my car. Is there any possibility of damaging the amp going over bumps etc?? Sorry if its a daft question Cheers Stuart
Valve amps can be susceptible to damage if thrown about in the boot of a car or van (especially if they aren't fully cooled down, post gig) but solid state amps are less prone and there's no reason why the Tecamp should be better/worse than others.
 3.
Cheers all for the input. So now I have on my must try list - Trace 715 thingy, Ampeg B200R, and possibly another ampeg (the 300 wat 2X10), I'm also slightly drawn to a biggish line 6 lodown, Roland Bass Cube 100 (?? - loud enough??) and maybe one of the slightly more upmarket fenders... cheers for all the suggestions, I'd likely go for that Trace that Warwickhunt suggested, but I have yet to liquidate the funds fully and will probably not for a few months yet (xmas drawing near and the kids need pressies etc!) So I'll keep on shoppin'. Bizarrely I had ruled out trace as too expensive, but just shows what I know. They're back in the game!!
A quick update. The combo is a 4x10 Series 6 GP12 1210. It's in good nick for its age and the vinyl covering is all intact. The only negative might be that most of the little plastic tips off the graphic have come off; not the end of the world and I reckon easily replaced. Later.
 4.
Will try my best to be there and catch up with some of you , as long as work will let me
Nice to see you over here Gazza.
 5. This might seem like stating the blinding obvious... but have you considered putting this on the Warwick forum?
 6.
I too noticed the BadBull gone and I was gonna try and get it as aloaner from GG as I have been sold a dud amp from them - nt their fault and the online/ phone guys are a pleasure to deal with. Might see if I can snag the Performer 600 looks plenty mean and i understand its got a valve in there somewhere too. Any of you cats had a go on one?
Not had an amp from the Performer range but I had their Black Cat amp... stunning amp! However, like the BadBull it is difficult to utilise the full power of it unless you have cabs with appropriate matching ohmages and when are you seriously going to need that much power! The P600 is a lot more sensible though 600w @ 4 ohms and it 'can' operate @ 2 ohms if need be.
 7.
Bought one Monday .. only tested it at home but pretty loud & so light ! Gonna gig it on Tuesday & let next band use it so I can have a listen (only vocal PA) .. time to sell some gear now lol ! Simon ps. speakon ext states 'minium 8Ohm' .. can I run a 6 or 4 Ohm cab ? (probably wont ever need to tho)
Glad someone on here bagged one... always the chance of it coming up used at a latter date. re. the ext cab - You can only use an 8 or 16 ohm ext cab with this combo. If you use a 4 (6's are available but rare and normally in cabs with drivers in multiples of 3) ohm cab chances are you will fry the amp.
 8.
Is this real? U have 2 of those? exact same wood combo and everything (except pickups?) This is incredible... Good lluck with ur sale 2
I'll not hi-jack Javier's thread... honest! I used to have two but I was made an offer that I couldn't refuse so one of them went across the pond. Both basses have/had identical pups but I replaced one with a set of Wizards to see how the tone compared but when I sold that bass the original pups went with it also.
 9.
Youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=62E9B814E2618F7F Please do know that this is my 2nd gig playing bass in my life! I have been a guitarist for most of the time! Enjoy and please feel free to comment! Thanks, Sim
Nowt wrong with that mate and you can't even tell that you are a failed guitarist! By that I mean you have the technique of a bassist and not a cack-handed guitarist.
 10. I love orange basses. Not technically a bass I realise but it was the inspiration for my Streamer refinish... and the guy got the paint to match!
 11. I'm going through my 10 year cycle of trying Flats again... give it a month or two and I'll be back to the clangy ones again!
 12.
Thanks for all the feedback. I'm taking the plunge.
Have you gotten sorted with one? I have one but I also have a Small Stone Phaser and that does the job of the Nano for what I need any way. I just need to go plug the two in side-by-side to confirm I don't need it and it may be for sale (complete with wooden box).
 13.
No problem my friend. For your consideration I have lowered a lot the price for a quick sale, if interested send me a message so I will improve a little this already rebate price: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...=STRK:MESELX:IT
Thanks for the offer, I know your bass is stunning and I have a fair idea that it will sound fabulous as I already have 'my' ultimate Warwick... the Father to your baby. Good luck with the sale, your bass deserves to be played.
 14. I see some of the Tecamp casualties have made their way onto the sales section. Always good to keep the wheels of GAS turning.
 15.
I've just dropped £850 on a new rig
You and half of Basschat.
 16.
Is it just me that's relieved that everything useful has now gone. The temptation to grab a bargain that I don't need and can't afford was significant
Oh yes my friend!
 17. At the price I have these cabs advertised it dawned on me (DURH! ) that I'd be an idiot not to keep one and leave at our rehearsal space (no more carting my bass cabs backwards and forwards when one of these will do a great job), so there is now only one cab available @ £60.
 18.
Warwickhunt + Flats =
Tell me about it!
 19. Anybody know where you can buy a single LaBella (think they are 'Deep Talkin'; with blue wrap/silk) string? I've just swapped an 'as new' set from my Warwick to my Bolin and I think I may have been overenthusiastic with the locking tuner as it caused the string to snap just as I was tweaking the tuning after a quick noodle. Gutted as the first impressions were that they were sounding great, especially with the piezo.
 20.
It sounds like it's been a bit of a lucky dip...!
Yeh it was a bit mad when I phoned the sales line, they were struggling to come to terms with what they had and didn't have (compounded by descriptions not matching product codes), even the staff in the stores needed guidance with identifying what they had in front of them; (Me to staff) "I'll tell you what, just tell me how many drivers, what size they are and how wide the cab is and I'll tell you whether it is the S or the M model."
 21.
mine is here, looks great! is a 4ohm one too, bonus! suits me better as they said it'd be 8ohm in the phone & i want to use it alone if poss. am thinking of getting the Puma 350 head to go with it as that'll give me 350 watts into the 4ohm. imagine that should give me enough volume for small venues or just onstage sound at larger ones?
Result! Did you get the M or S series? The one item that sorely tempted me was a 4 ohm 212M but they reckoned that they had none, just the S version. In answer to your question; I reckon the Puma + 2x12 will easily do you for small venues and monitoring at large venues when you have PA support... if it doesn't and you have the M version just give me a shout.
 22.
Boogger! Have just seen this but Pete's due to be in the States then.
Just bring Pete's gear along... we'll look after it for ya.
Are you local, Mrs. Tinman? Didn't know that!
Just take one look at her isn't it obvious she's one of the 'local people'. As it happens hubby-bloke Pete is a run-away Geordie so Mrs T virtually qualifies as Cheryl Cole's sister.
 23.
And they're both 4ohm.
Ah Ha! As I said, good luck with the sale.
 24.
OK, pm me the details for it, and I'll see if its worth it. Zach
22" x 17" x 30" and gross weight of 33kg per cab.
 25. I've always fancied trying a pair of these (I assume that they are 8ohm) but Nottingham is a bit too far for a 'trial'. Good luck with the sale though.
