1. A mature and studious friend is looking to take up Double Bass. If you are a teacher--or know of any teachers--near Bridport, then please get in touch. Many thanks Paul
 2. Updated I was thinking of a sort of FAQ links; 'What do you want to do?' Then you could have links such as: Value delivery within the UK Insured delivery within the UK International statements Fast international delivery Best for cabs etc. etc. They would each go to a specific post with a courier firm (or top 3), a comment, and user quotes/anecdotes. Seems like a smarter way of clearing up the information and making use of the data. The convoluted table thing can be kept below should one want to get more specific, yo. Input welcome.
+2 for http://www.personalshipper.com
Old comment, I know, but I can't get a working website for these guys.
 3.
Done - Right, this is done as cheaply as possible, but I'm pleased with the results. It may distort at higher volumes. All files were recorded with my passive Precision Special strung with (roundwound) DR Lo-Riders. The Motown with foam by the bridge. No effects were used, I've just mic'd up the relevant speaker with the EQ on full bass, full middle, half treble.
This track was recorded through the stock 15 driver, with foam by the bridge on the bass, Precision pup at 100%, and Jazz bridge pup at %80: http://www.supload.com/listen?s=GR0dx8 ---- These are a couple of tracks with me just noodling around Dmix' - Precision pup at %80 and the jazz bridge pup at %100: http://www.supload.com/listen?s=yqKe2C w/Peavey 18" driver: http://www.supload.com/listen?s=BBJCvw Files have been compressed for quick upload so I can watch Natural World. Animals give me my funky powers. Best of luck with the sale, Jim! paul
 4. Welcome, Mads. kickit and chill
 5.
mark king is best, period....
I don't know about 'period', but that was almost an ellipses.
 6. It reminds me of medieval instruments. I don't think JF is great at the aesthetic, but I bet it sounds quite good.
 7. I forgot Jerry Jemmott. I'll swap AH for him. 'though there's probably a simple gospel player out there that I like even more.
 8. I can't think of two other bassists that excite me nearly as much as Jamerson. I will say Fams and Jerry Jemmott for the love. They both knew how to employ passionate restrain whilst remaining vocal. 'though bassists here have impressed me no end. Who was the guy who did the tracks on the £50 P-copy. He had superb and innovative feel.
 9.
Thanks Beedster, you made me and my "plethora" of Squiers feel like one of the team for a while there.....
That's the spirit!
 10. 'A plurality of Precisions...' Oh -plethora-, surely?!
 11. Updated.
You can specify. You are given a number of options when booking.

(or should I say DHL?).
I don't know. Surely Interparcel is too unspecific to be of use. Thoughts, anyone? 'though they do have their own T&Cs.
and - 10 for Parcelfarce, who have changed the rules concerning paying Import duty,no longer will they collect cash on the doorstep, they will hold your item, you pay by credit or debit card and they deliver it the NEXT day, like you haven't waited long enough You do have the option to drive to their depot and pay cash
Not sure I can -1 because they've changed their payment rules. Yes, a bad experience; perhaps my OP needs greater clarity.
i know that they are crap from top jimmy
Your insight of my disclaimer has brought tears to my humbled eyes.
Ah, another one misslead by the large print...
Perhaps my OP ought to be clearer(?).
 12.
"He passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on 6th September. He will be hugely missed by all his friends and family, especially his band. He was a truly wonderful man."
Sounds like 48 years very well spent. RIP, Steve.
