1. You Should've said 'will ship in case that's worn, but secure' or something along those lines. And supply pics of case.
2. Christina Hendricks is on here alot. Billy Sheehan (Zoe Billy Sheehan, close enough) As for the Squabbling, apart from 'off Topic' I don't see much. Most of the BCS are cool. This site's cool
3. Too tired to look at all responses at moment, but you've gotta sell it.Reason: You don't think it's safe -even in the home! I'd say sell, and get a Vester .Vesters are like Warwicks, and play great IMHO
4. Two basses. Got my Steinberger from ebay (German pawn shopI think ). Had to get a new jack put in , and a saddle made for it. Well worth the dosh. Got the Tele bass from a German shop (ebay again). Never saw anything like it at the time , and it gets great comments when anyone sees it. Nearly sold it last year, but am hanging onto it if I can affoird to do so . Iwould only do it again if the seller lived near me , or was a basschatter
5.
I can see why he ditched his band during rehearsals...
Awesome!(all vids)
6. Don't like the new colour. The green rocked imho.. If I was gonna buy a signature model, then the mk 2 (green) would be the one. For me ,it's like having a custom bass, hence the price. Having said that, there are other manufacturers who charge more dosh for average Fender impersonations.Horses for courses etc. If I came into money in the future (never) I'd get an Attitude and a Kubicki . Love Billy, what you see is what you get.You can tell he cares about his Basses, and his fans.
7.
Mesa Walkabout Scout... used to have one and loved it. Lightweight and sounds damn good.
A fellow BC'r is selling one , checkout the ad .
8. Not even yellow. Ugh!
9. Good luck with the move Ped. Looks like the new BC layout will be ok . Sometimes when a site gets a facelift , it could ruin something that's perfectly adequate . (Planet Rock for example) ugh! Thanks guys for an awesome site btw
10. Wow! Iwas considering a walkabout ,just over a year ago. Ended up with Aguilar. Your price is good, and had I seen this at the time , Iwould've had it. Lovin' the Attitude. My Tele bass is the same colour as your jazz. Iwas thinking of doin' a Billy to it,but Iwas advised not to. Have a bump
11. Bass Player being banged by guitarist?? Arseholes?? This band sounds dodgy. Leave now!
12. All you have to do now is send a TXT to Metro, thanking South West Trains for all their help
13. Love it, love Sparks. Ronald is the man
14. Sounds like you're doin' fine . Getting 'feel' doesn't always come naturally and has to be worked at. Trying not to be too flashy ,not doing too much slap and not playing 10,000 notes helps. Relaxing also helps. When Iwas learning stuff years ago,(covers),I was mainly learning root notes. I was fairly 'competent' I guess , learning in almost parrot fashion. The songs were learnt -but without feel. I didn't play many bad gigs (my nervous enthusiasm heped). However, I learnt in time , to take it easy ,play the whole scale of the song and relax. I cut out the poor attempt at slapping, made more efffort with the plectrum and stopped stressing myself out about learning stuff. I know that I'm far from being a great bass player , but I'm alot better than I was. It takes time.
15. How cool is that.I was at a Malmsteen gig a few years ago. He threw his strat (copy)into the crowd. Me and my friend managed to get the body. I let my friend have it.
16.
I wonder what the MD of Ampeg or Aguilar look and sound like then. Still I guess they usually don't play them
He should have let the beardy geezer do the demo
17. Would you buy a Bass from that man? Looks like a dodgy estate agent .
18. I've played PIB many times, using straight bass . Active basses make it sound nearer to the original IMHO. As for synth pedals: more people seem discouraged/disappointed in their overall performance. I would think a multi fx pedal such as Zoom B2 1 U or Boss ME -8B would be a better option. If the synthy stuff doesn't do it for you, I'm sure you'd find something that does.
19. Okay, I'm using my mac Mini (which is my main computer) into an ACER Monitor. I'm currently using this setup in my living room . All well & good so far. However, due to lack of space, I want to use my Toshiba TV which is in my bedroom as my main setup. If I can do this, it means that I can plug my studio monitors &Line6 device and play my bass through the Mac again. It also means that I can plug my mac tower g4 into the living room, on my Acer monitor. It's slow and my Line 6 won't operate on it. Anyway, I tried plugging my VGA- VGA cable into my Toshiba TV at the weekend. Once I did this all seemed well, until I adjusted the monitor solution on my Mac Mini. The screen went black. I tried resetting the PRAM ,but no good. I plugged my Mac Mini back into the Acer montor mand it works fine. The main question I have is : Do I try a VGA-HDMI cable? (VGA in the Mac, HDMI into TV) One other thing, the Mac Mini came with a white adapter, which I have on all the time. Please adfvise if you can . Cheers
20. Sometimes it's good to take a bass into a decent shop to get the intonation sorted out/bass setup. Get them to fit new strings on as well . See what the other bc's say ..
21.
Doh ! First public error of the New Year Plenty more where that came from too ! Never wanted to be perfect anyway. Think a trip to the Aguilar site is overdue, then the nearest dealer to hear what it's all about Cheers Guys T
sounds like a trip to BASSMERCHANT
22. Well, the last combo I had(Eden Nemesis nc-250) was the best I had.I did have a Peavey head/cab back 9in the 90's (too big but sound was ok). Anyway, I'm now the proud owner of AggieAG 500 SC and DB112 N T cab. When the drummer saw my setup (tweed combo /choc head) he laughed, and said it resembled something from a 1950's coffee shop. He loved my Eden combo, and was a bit sceptical about my slightly more poprtable setup. Once we finished that rehearsal, he was amazed. So was I . Don't know what the GS series sounds like, but the DB series looks and sounds the part .
23. Unfortunately , the are rather pricey as you've noticed. When these first came out, the wholesaler sent me a guitar version which I swiftly returned.(Don't know if I regret this or not). These came out around the same time as the Boss -ME8B and the Boss got more favourable feedback from the reviewrs at the time. I went with the Boss . I missed out on a Bass Whammy on flea bay (Swiss seller) . Outbid by £5.00 . Bidding finished while I was in bed.Oh, well. The way things are , these cost as much as a bass itself nowadays.Maybe if you've got a bass to part exchange or something, someone may have one. But then, is it worth it...
24. Must have /had a famous grandad Most of the items for sale haven't a bid. Let's keep an eye out
