1. Not many people seem to know about them on here
2. Should be good.
3. When I saw the first picture of the black bass, I thought ..ugh! Now it is green ,it's amazing! Awesome !
4. I always think Kubicki = Stu Hamm/ Status = Mark King/ Vigier= Randy Coven and of course Billy Sheehan has the Attitude. I like the fact that Billy really cares about the quality of his basses and it's not just another signature model etc.
5. I remember when I turned up for band rehearsal ,with my new Aggie setup. Mr.Drums thought tht the cab looked 'like something out of a 50's coffee shop'. Once he heard it , he loved it . Aggie rocks!
6.
Hmmm.... interesting. I'd never live it down if I bought a Tele... after the grief I gave my mate for buying a Telecaster. But looking at it... it's alright innit!?!
When I first got my Tele, I was a bit put off by what my then band members were saying about it. However , I love it . I also think that the sound varies so much from flatwounds or Roundwounds. That 'thud' sounds like no other.
7. Dean Stylist perhaps ? (mine's yellow) or a Telebass?
8. Okay, I commute daily to and from central London by bus and train. I have had various 'phones in he past on my ipod. What I'm looking for now is something like noise reducing/noise cancelling . Can't really stand the sound of bawling babies etc. Unfortunately my budget can't stretch much more than £80.00 I don't like the in -ear design , but with summer coming , I don't want anything too heavy. Any ideas?
9. I wonder if, you could achieve the same result on a cheaper bass by taking it to SI.M.S (not simpsons) and get a similar paint job. It would probably work out cheaper....
10. Is it April 1st??
11. I wouldnt gig with a band that you don't feel have learnt the set thoroughly . If I weren't sure off them by now, I'd probably quit. sounds like they're holding you back.
12. God , I feel alot better looking at your responses . Looks like I 'll keep the Aguilar setup (funds permitting). Seems a waste after getting it all setup in the first place. Cheers
13. congratultions! Good to know from experience ,you won't have to go through that again
14. L.......e......a.......v....e..... now !! (or do a documentary of the band , and put it on you tube)
15. OK at home..and ok on my iphone. Cheers Hamster
16. Drummer at the wrong gig?
17. Effects have progressed over the years. probably 90's onwards. Many bass players used guitar effects with great results.(Cliff Burton/Geezer etc) Horses for courses I guess
18. Was ok on my home computer over weekend. Seems ok this morning on iPhone . So maybe it's sorted
19. Yeah, been there. We all have ,haven't we? Don't fret too much about it. You'll probably be flawless for a few gigs after that one.
20. I just had a flashback to when I was in my first 'proper' band(not with friends for parties as before). We had this drummer whos playing was very 'timid' imho . He was really too busy in his life for a band to be honest. Having said that, apparently he took lessons from a tutor of Phil Collins. Now we know how Phil was so bald
