1. I wouldnt gig with a band that you don't feel have learnt the set thoroughly . If I weren't sure off them by now, I'd probably quit. sounds like they're holding you back.
2. God , I feel alot better looking at your responses . Looks like I 'll keep the Aguilar setup (funds permitting). Seems a waste after getting it all setup in the first place. Cheers
3. congratultions! Good to know from experience ,you won't have to go through that again
4. L.......e......a.......v....e..... now !! (or do a documentary of the band , and put it on you tube)
5. OK at home..and ok on my iphone. Cheers Hamster
6. Drummer at the wrong gig?
7. Effects have progressed over the years. probably 90's onwards. Many bass players used guitar effects with great results.(Cliff Burton/Geezer etc) Horses for courses I guess
8. Was ok on my home computer over weekend. Seems ok this morning on iPhone . So maybe it's sorted
9. Yeah, been there. We all have ,haven't we? Don't fret too much about it. You'll probably be flawless for a few gigs after that one.
10. I just had a flashback to when I was in my first 'proper' band(not with friends for parties as before). We had this drummer whos playing was very 'timid' imho . He was really too busy in his life for a band to be honest. Having said that, apparently he took lessons from a tutor of Phil Collins. Now we know how Phil was so bald
11. A chequered coffee table bass?
12. I've been playing' Planet Earth', when the band was going for about a year and a half. Complete with mini bass solo and flanger. (it was i8n the style of Iron Maiden tho') Couldn't really take to DD, but I do wish it was 1980 something again
13. AR18s? I didn't think these were 'studio monitors'. I used to own a pair, with a NAD amp back in the day . Nice bookshelf speakers yes, but studio monitors ?
14. Just browsing for a second time on my iPhone today, and I got 'welcome back' Maybe it's ok now
15. Just had to log in on my iPhone. Still got error message but I ignored that. Went on"view new posts" and it seems ok ...for now
16.
I just had to re log in.
So did I ....again
17. OK . So , I log in this evening,(again) start browsing. Then all of a sudden ,I see'welcome guest/login/.' My broadband(virgin basic) has been intemittent yesterday and today, and I am a Mac user.......
18. ...and I couldn't get access to a couple of posts , due to error messages popping up.
19. Looking good, but it'd be too big for my flat
20. Dean Taxi bass
21. Keep it....and sell the Fender! Bump for you
22. Rehearsal. Now, let me see... Trying to get all band members to attend regularly on the agreed schedule. Once other band members have to'look after the kid(s) this week', go on holiday , or are very sick the momentum collapses. (only my experiences tho') I think regular rehearsals are needed,so that all band members can see how far they've progressed with the songs (or not). If you're of a higher standard ,then regular practice is not needed as much imho
23. Yeah, thanx for looking out for us
