1.
I don't read it anymore. Ben seems to have great intentions, but sadly, it's not a quality mag really. Just seems like Metro for bassists, except I think there are way more typos and errors in BGM.
Exactly . Cant see the mag lasting much longer than 2 years or so.
2. Looks alright, but i prefer my 77 telecaster
3. Replied,and bump,)
4. Interesting questions.) What bassis your favourite? How much stuff do you play other than EADG? What find with 5string, is that just by practicing "normal" songs in EADG , they can sometimes be played on the higher part of the neck without realising you are using the b string subtlety. I bought a 5string a few years back , and hadn't the confidence to gig with it. This was probably because only a couple of songs were alternate tuning. Some people play only a four, and have a spare for different tuning because they can't get on with a 5. Have you seen a teacher,or thought about doing so?
5. What kind of GAS?Is this the Simon cowell one with the drop d? Times are hard right now, but you may want something I have,)
6. looks like everything's been mentioned. OHM anybody? On a slight tangent, I would say that when jamming in the studio /playing live the amps always delivered IMHO . However , I think that the bass is much more defined now , over the last say 25 years on cd/ record etc. Having said that, I remember as a kid , loads of singles being played on an old dansett e and the bass was meaty and most dominant. (valves ?) Also some band members can't get their head around a tele bass. "too. wooly" etc. it is bass after all,,,
7. I was playing in mostly 'birthday bands'ie, if it's me or one f my musician friends birthday we'll play a gig of covers. Well, we got together , and played a gig for the guvnor of the 'coach& horses in croxley green. We started off with plates falling from the windows(bass vibration). The crowd would not let us finish! 3 encores later, we run out of stuff. Then playing the riff to 'Big Spender' after the second playing of 'Nancy Boy'. The crowd loved us,and wouldn't let me or guitarist go. Awesome
8. If you want to reassure buyer, you could send him the link to this thread . He will see that you are trying to do the right thing .

11.
Wall hangers for the basses?
I've got them in the spare room( now my brothers room,) cheers
12. Thanx charic. I was thinking ,it's the shape of the desk thats off-putting . My brother works nights so I mostly see him only at weekends. Maybe I should get a long table instead. I'll sleep on it ,)
13. Trying to get more tidy/domesticated I have 2 bedroom flat. My brother has been with me a while, and it's ongoing. So , I've lost a bedroom. My (9!) basses are tucked away in top corner of living room. So, briefly : Gear in Bedroom: Mac Mini/ Toshiba flat screen TV/DVD Player. Studio monitors. Bass fx Headphones. Line6 UX1 Hard drive .Guitar Cables/ computer cables etc All on a 'kidney ' shaped computer desk .No room in corner of bedroom , so it looks odd. Large chair Living Room : all Basses. I also have an Ipad, so was thinking of having just that in the bedroom. Sorry for sounding like an old woman, but could somebody here give me their opinion? cheers
14. Love the look of these. Always wanted one in the '80s when they were expensive . One of the first light amps Of the time . Ideal with the headless bass you have/had,) have a bump

19.
Just got back from Birmingham. Still the best band I've ever seen live. Definitely not a gig, more of a show. Outstanding. And they played my favourite song, Asche zu Asche!
This too
20.
Saw them earlier, definately the best stage show I've seen from any band Lots of explosives, just the way I like 'em!
yeah,spot on
21.
You guys bored of this yet?
nice bass
22. I have noticed one or two 'name players', who played standard 5 (BEADG). Looking at their current gear, they have more than one bass. So , one is EADG,the other is BEAD etc. This means that they only need the alternate tuning for a couple of songs in their set. Not a bad thing , if you feel overwhelmed by the extra string.
