Well, I connected the irig into the headphone socket as I'm supposed to do. From the headphone socket, the y cable was connected to the line inputs of the line 6ux1 . Still the same, after turning volume of iPad and apps to max. However, on the monitor input of the ux1, the sound is much better , but only from 1 speaker ,unless I only put jack I also tried the above without irig. Wonder if it's worth asking a genius at apple?

You may have seen my other posts related to this. I purchased a y cable. The idea being, to put irig in iPad , then from the headphone out socket of irig , put y cable to The line in sockets of my line 6 toneport. Ux1 . I will turn output of apps up as suggested above. Will let you know later , but if you have any other ideas please let me know. Thanx for replies so far,)

Is there a setting that boosts the output ? The. output is low when trying to connect with another device. Cheers

Thanks for your reply ,) I was looking at kb37 yesterday . What I am attempting does work, as far as connecting everything , but the sound coming from line outputs on ux1 box is very low. I m not sure if the sound quality for apps is any good on iPad . The headphone socket works when putting ordinary headphone s In as normal. For some reason , the sound is clipped when trying to plug the lead into another device. Cheers

I'm fairly new at this too,) I have irig(wire too short IMHO) Plugged into free gallium krueger app. You must have GarageBand. Favourite other non bass app : kaossilator Hope this helps

Guess I could've asked the question in a less complicated way: can I use more than 1 app at the same time on iPad? Cheers,)

Okay, when I bought the above, I was the big kiddie in the sweet shop, buying numerous'useful 'apps. I'm enjoying the kaossilator for ipad, plus various bits from Moog , Alchemy , synth station etc. I understand Garageband, but can't seem to record more than a minute or so. Any ideas how to extend recording time? Also, is it possible to have the kaossilator (or other apps) going direct into garageband , so I can play along with my bass etc? Please advise cheers

I like music that shocks, (death metal etc). Browsed through YouTube , and watched a few bits from the above . I must say , although' I'm at the age where I've 'seen it all' , the sound is very weak , and there is more meat on morrissey. A friend of mine, asked me about cradle of filth,. Saw one or 2 vids, but the. Bass is nonexistent or something. The local butcher has more meat on his apron. At least with some of the older bands, there was more power! What do you think?

From Bono to screwdriver, to Sepultura , there are so many. Personally , I think music and politics don't mix . I'm probably in the minority.

I have a Dean Stylist cabbie Bass. The action is rather high.apart from the truss rod, can you adjust the action at the tail end of the bass?

Just when I get more confident recording etc, another problem arises. I'm trying to plug my ipad into my line 6 ux1 . I have purchased the high quality Y cable needed to do so. For some reason , the line inputs are not picking up a signal from my ipad. So I tried plan B ; What I have done , is use my irig , via the headphone socket on that. Then an adapter , which goes into the instrument input socket on the ux1. (this is where the Bass /guitar is supposed to go) This sort of works, but the sound should be louder. The cable is fine, as I tested it on something else. Please help me if you can

Thanks for your output guys,) To be honest , it looks like putting it on a chair seems the way to go . If I was back in a band, and times weren't so hard , I'd get an extra cab . Headphones? I have some , but I can get by without them . I use studio monitors already. It's just that I wasn't sure whether to sell or not. I think that , if a guitarist can have an all singing pretty Marshall , then I can compliment my bass with nice amp also. Cheers

[/quote] Malmsteen is arrogant .tick. King of arpeggios.tick. Albums poor.tick. However, have seen him at music fair at wembley a few years back.Arrogant etc.very comical without meaning to be. Saw him headline Hammy Apollo a few years ago, when schenker lost the plot and cancelled, leaving malmsteen to headline. Malmsteen rocked,) absolute ly brilliant. Saw himat Astoria 2(the small one) shortly after not long before it got demolished. What some people don't realise, malmsteen has as many imitators as Eddie van halen. By the way m Bonham is the nuts.)
