1.
No problem, guys. The HB Tele Bass (post-'72) is another animal entirely, from the design to the placement of the pickup, making for a very different voice. I'm not sure anyone looking for one would necessarily want or like the other.
True . Don't think yours would be as ''thuddy'' as mine Nice bass, good luck with the sale. Bump
 2.
Thats the reason its a good time to but one for me....which one did you have for sale
If you go to 19977 telecaster bass in the for sale thread, you'll spot it. (Sorry one drop)
 3.
it's been a real sh*te few weeks and this seems to be really doing it for me at the mo. christ I love this band and this song
Haven't heard an awful lot by this band. I was expecting something similatr to: SHAAAARK SHAAARK SHOVE IT AAAAAAAAAARRGH etc. This seems weak in comparison.Sorry. Is it the same band I'm talking about?
 4. Doesn't seem to be much interest in Teles at the moment. Think I'll end up keeping mine. Have a bump
 5.
+1 Live the dive bomb harmonic slap Bweeeohhhhhhggh thing he does Probably my favourite Primus track of all time - I have no idea how he plays that and sings it at the same time, the juxtaposition of vocals against bass is beyond a mindf***. He must have two brains!
+ loads
 6. Well, I did think of getting whammy bar myself a while back. I was into the whole 'hair metal' thing back in the day. Thought better of it. I quite like that Rany Coven track. Sounds better on album. As for the yosshinhiro video ....aaargggh ! Terrible. All the effects /delays he was using made it look like he was miming. Makes a nikki six solo sound interesting
 7.
I've a scan of the whole song tab & notation if you want it. PM me if you do.
Thanks for the offer. Think I've got it sorted. If I get told off by the band,I'll pm you.
 8. Reign in Blood-Slayer! Has to be the whole album tho'
 9.
Chorus chords are Em C D then G C D. There's your roots right there, there are some passing notes moving between these but that's about it
Fantastic. Thanks for that.
 10.
What's wrong with the tab on bassmasta? It seems reasonably accurate to me.
It's me not understanding it I'm trying to just do root notes. I was confusing myself
 11.
tux guitar then get the guitar tab pro file from ultimate guitar or such
Thanks for that, but to be honest, it looks too complicated for me .
 12. Howdy! Whilst in the middle of a bit of turbulence at the mo', I've realised I 've gotta get my finger(s) out and learn this song for next band practice. I've been learning it from some kind person from the Bassmasta site. However, as we have 2 guitarists in our band, I was overplaying and sounded out of tune and rubbish. Les Dawson lives on. I've got the intro/ verse/ pre chorus sorted(I think) but just need to know the root notes of the chorus & guitar solo Could anybody help please? Cheers
 13. God, that thing is ugly.(sorry, only my opinion )How much?? Think you would've been better off going for a decent hollowbody or something..or even a 2 string ordinary acoustic guitar. Sorry to hear about your problem. Probably better off trying basschat/flea bay/Amazon in future.
 14.
So you get a few nice basses, where do they live? On the wall? No, that's just asking for trouble. In a case? No, they need to be accessible and that would look awful. So what do you do, where do they go? In the Bassdrobe™, that's where. Not quite gear porn unless D.I.Y. gets you jolly, but there it is anyway
Nice job. You may wanna put a poster inside tho' as the finishing touch
 15.
From the land of large wardrobes comes...
Not a bad idea. Not sure about the flying cat tho'
 16. Good luck in whatever your doin'. Best to keep one bass, and take it from there. As you can see, a lot of us have given it a break for various amounts of time. I think alot of us are disillusioned with playing in small pubs etc. So many of 'em are closing, or you have to play the waiting game, bombarding them with phone calls waiting for cancellations etc. Not sure what I'm doin' myself. My band practices are fewer, and gigs are harder to come by. May sell most of my stuff and take a course on logic for home. You may be back . Keep 1 bass just incase
 17. Well, there's so much to consider . I remember as a kid, we used to load up singles on a Dansette. (various stuff like the Equals, Amen Corner,Hi O Silver Lining,Paranoid,Atomic Rooster etc). Don't think we knew who played what, but the bass was nice and crunchy. Onto the 70's, I was getting into 'hippy stuff' ' AllMusic' Still in primary school I was discovering Budgie,Sabbath,Hawkwind etc. Loved the seventies music. When I was buying stuff for the 1st time, it was Abba ,Sparks and TRex. (I noticed the production of the early Abba singles astonishing.) Bought various 'pop' singles, even the occasional disco single ,tho'I detested 90% of the stuff. Started going to gigs in '79. Found the early (to become legendary metal bands) Maiden and Saxon albums to be okay quality but not to the standards of their later recordings. Loads of stuff in the '80s seemed to have a 'modern' sound. (later to be called over produced). Didn't mind some of it. I remember White Lions 2nd album being powerful in the (echoey?) mix. Phil collins drum sound 'in the air tonight' seemed bland and comical imo Eastenders anyone Anthrax's Spreading the Disease seemed powerful (but wimpy on original cd) Most of the Britpop of the 90's reminded me of 60's revisited-ok but nothing special. Nearly forgot: Keyboards! Great in the 70's(moog,T DREAM/FLOYD/Purple etc) Loads of pop stuff in the '80s Gary Numan/Human League etc. Loads of funk bass in the '80s too. Snthy stuff in the 80's was big too..Eliminator/Somewhere in time Better stop now,I'm rambling too much
 18. I've got the same one. Love mine. May have to hunt down the fretted version ,when funds allow. Have a bump.
 19.
For me MA's playing is spot on. Also, his backing vocals are second to none in that genre. Apparently VH was once looking to sack MA and replace him with Billy Sheehan. I expect that the nearest we will know to what that would have been like is 'Eat em and Smile'. The best VH album they never made IMO.
+1 . Apparently Jeff Berlin was considered as well.
 20. Okay , we all know names like 'Precision' 'Rickenbacker' 'Markbass' etc. But the names of things being made now , are ,in my opinion slightly embarrassing. For example, Dean make good basses. However,I'm never gonna ask for a 'Playmate'. I'm not old enough to remember him ,but it's a saying by Arthur Askey-'Hello playmates' ! Ashdown 'Little Bastards' . Not really good if you're trying to prevent your children from swearing Are there any more that you can think of?
 21.
my, thats a lovely finish on that! Lovely and deep and bet it sounds the part too... have a free bump!
yeah,I agree...nice cat
 22. Aguilar do cabs without tweeter. Awesome sound. Come in many colours too
