  1. I'd be more than happy with either of those. But if definitely take a punt on the pnut if finances would allow.
  2. I live in Bulgaria. Been here for over 7 years now. 😉
  3. AC/DC. Despite being a massive rock/metal head in my teens I couldn't stand them. It wasn't so much the music as the vocals which I remember at the time describing as Micky Mouse on acid. I love them now. Rolling stones were another band I couldn't stand but now like. On the flip side, I used to love metal guitarists like Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen. Can't stand it now. It's just a load of fret w#@king nonsense.
  4. Looking at the feedback there's a couple of negatives suggesting they were sold a lemon, but on the whole the feedback is almost all positive. So either they're genuine, or the vast majority of buyers have no idea what real Elixirs should be like.
  5. Thanks. It certainly does the job that I need. I also like having the option of using the B3 as a DI pedal. Should I have an amp failure, I can just DI to the PA. Saves carrying a spare amp.
  6. Simple, tidy, light and ample for what I need. I build a main sound patch for each song using the ms60b then have the option of three "live" stomp pedals with the B3. Topped off with a HB wireless pedal on a Warwick Rockboard. The whole lot probably cost less than £250
  7. Bring back Jim'll Fix It.
  8. Worst gig I've ever seen, Paul young. Worst comedy gig, Freddy Star. Both should have packed it in a very long time ago.
  9. Was anything Jules Holland presented ever any good? I remember trying to watch him years ago and couldn't stand him then. I certainly wouldn't watch him now.
  10. Root - 5th - octave. i.e power chord! Congratulations. You now know how to play every punk song ever written. You're welcome. 😉
  11. The only reason I'm in a band is for the social aspect. It's first and foremost a social gathering for me. Always has been, always will be. I could never be in a band with someone who I didn't get along with socially. Life's too short. We almost always go out for a meal and / or a drink after rehearsals, and do lots of other things together. We're actually meeting up tomorrow afternoon for a NYE jam just for the pleasure of it.
  12. I had my money on New Bass Gig Bag Day.
  13. Seems like a definite possibility. It's a very common recording trick to fill out vocals. I've used it many times myself.
  14. Can't believe this is still here at this price. Crazy!
  15. So does rubbing raw onions in your eyes.
  16. If postage had been offered I would have saved your resolve days ago 😂 It's even worth taking the shipping and Brexit tax hit at that price.
  17. Yeah but surely that's pretty much null and void if you're using electrical devices which need charging?
  18. It would be full of village idiots though.
  19. I'm going to ask the band if they fancy playing (in the studio) Nye afternoon just for the fun of it. We don't go out on new years anyway. Haven't for years, and the band is very much part of our social lives. So maybe just a few mates round if any of them want to attend. I might even do a live broadcast on YouTube just for the hell of it.
  20. I'm intrigued. Why does anyone need set list software? What does it do? I've always just written the set list down on a bit of paper and stuck it somewhere I can see it.
  21. That's a shame. Definitely sounds like you got a lemon. I've had mine 3 years and it's been absolutely faultless.
  22. Are you sure you didn't knock the mute button?
  23. Buying from a shop is pretty much impossible for me. The closest decent one is about three and a half hours drive away. Even then, the stock is limited. I mostly buy basses mail order (usually Thomann) based on looks, price and reviews. Then just simply adapt my playing to the feel of the new instrument. I've never yet had a bass that I've felt the need to return because it's too uncomfortable to play. They're all pretty much of a muchness as long as you're adaptable. 4, 5, or 6 string. It doesn't really make any difference as long as you're willing to spend some time getting used to it.
  24. My wife's the singer in my band. She's far too exhausted from lugging the PA around for such shenanigans. 😂
