  1. I think the same can be said of every courier service in the UK. What's the viable alternative?
  2. I've only had beneficial "mistakes". Actually I think they were upgrades for out of stock items. I ordered the cheapest drum stool they had and was sent a rather nice Pearl one instead. Along with a much better set of headphones than the ones I ordered. That was a good couple of years ago though and I haven't ordered from them for a while.
  3. I use mine with both the ultra high and ultra low buttons engaged and it's the punchiest amp I've ever heard.
  4. My main gigging amp for about the past 6 years. Cheap. Well built. More power than you're ever likely to need, and sounds sublime. What's not to like? Except of course unless you listen with your eyes and you're a real brand snob which sadly so many are.
  5. You've revived a very old thread, but I'm also in Bulgaria and have used Muziker several times with no problems.
  6. Throw in a BBQ and absolutely this!
  7. Get a wireless mic adapter. Solved the problem for me. No chance of current running through cables to the mic. We have a 2 wire negative earth system here in Bulgaria and I wouldn't trust putting my body parts anywhere near it. Fully wireless for the bass and mic.
  8. How is this still here? Absolute steal at this price.
  9. I never had any desire to be a bass player, or musician of any kind. When I first picked up the bass I was 15 and I wasn't even really interested in music. My sole reason for starting to play was because my mates were in a band and I wanted to hang around with my mates. 35 years later and it's still my sole reason for playing bass. No desire to be famous. Not even really interested in gigging. But making a noise in a room with my mates is where I'm happiest.
  10. We'll I've taken the plunge and ordered two sets off Temu. See how we go. They don't even have to be good quality audio as I just want them for monitoring the rest of the instruments as a guide track while we live record drums, so we'll see how we go. After Temu discount coupons they were less than £20 a pair so can't really go wrong as long as they actually function.
  11. Perfect. Thanks. That's exactly what I was thinking. Out via the headphone amp then everyone has independent volume controls. Cheers.
  12. I was looking at these the other day to use as monitors while recording. As there are 4 members in the band I'm wondering, can you use 4 receivers with a single transmitter, or would I have to use a splitter on the output of the PA to put both transmitters into a single audio source?
  13. Any idea how much it weighs?
  14. I'm so glad I went to the expense and effort of watching the live stream of the Back to the Beginning show. I'd really be kicking myself now if I hadn't. Although Ozzy looked frail on the night he's always had a frailty about him. It's kind of weird because throughout his whole career I've almost always expected him to drop dead at any second given his excessive lifestyle, yet when it finally happened it came as a total shock after seeing him performing only a couple of weeks ago. R.I.P Ozzy. A true musical legend.
  15. Guns n Roses last night in Sofia Bulgaria. Absolutely superb!
  16. Any and all instruments in a jazz band.
  17. Thanks for all the responses so far. I wasn't even aware about the "free" distributors before now. (Or at least with a small fee or stream percentage as opposed to an upfront annual subscription like Distrokid etc). One of those plus Bandcamp for downloads would probably be the ideal solution for us. So we have Routnote and Soundrop. Any other recommendations?
  18. That sounds interesting. Thanks. I'll check them out.
  19. Not really any costs involved. I have my own studio at home and do all the mixing and mastering. But I have no idea how to get the music "out there" which I think is pretty common due to the absolute over saturation of the market. I really can't do the social media thing any more.
  20. No. Only one track so far a couple of years ago but the band has just got back together after a couple of years of "life" and we want to get back in the studio again to record some of our originals. Not really bothered about making money to be fair but it would be nice to at least cover costs.. I think CDBaby and Distrokid are pretty much the same animal and it's always an option but I'd rather do something more independently for the time being.
  21. I tried the whole Distrokid, streaming services route a couple of years ago and although it's not really about the money, the chance of even covering subscription costs is pretty slim considering you need thousands of streams just to make a couple of quid. So where do people put their original music these days? Is Bandcamp still a thing and worth doing, or are there any better options now?
  22. I feel that the thread title will skew the results somewhat. If you don't play fretless you're far less likely to click on the thread in the first place.
