  1. Wow! I'd take your arm off at that price if I was in the UK.
  2. I have no doubt that some people can. Probably those who have years of experience playing through different rigs, or sound engineers who can pick up on the most subtle differences. I'm definitely not one of them. 😆
  3. I honestly don't know how anyone hears the difference. Bass is bass. Especially in a mix. I can't even tell the difference between different kinds of basses in a blind listen.
  4. Ok. Pedant Harry doffed in return. Watts are an electrical measurement where you multiply the current with the voltage to get the power consumed, i.e. watts. It is simply an indicator of power and cannot be used to describe how loud a speaker is actually going to be.
  5. Six year old post. I think he's probably figured out our by now. 😋
  6. Just had a first listen through of the Bjork album so here's my thoughts. Firstly. I had no idea that it was an acapella album. Second. I always thought I liked acapella music. Turns out I like acapella tracks, singular. The odd track here and there is very clever and a nice change. A whole album of it becomes tedious very quickly. Thirdly. I do really like Bjorks voice and quirky vocal style. So although this album isn't really for me. It does inspire me to seek out more of her stuff. Maybe some of her earlier stuff where I know one or two tracks on the album to dip my toe in. However. In the spirit of the thread. I will listen to the album again and see if I can pull some more positives from it.
  7. Yeah the stuff I've previously heard of hers is as mad as a box of frogs, but in a good way. I don't know why I've never really listened to any of her albums before. Maybe I'll find out after I've listened to this one. 😂
  8. Ok folks. I'm posting early this week because I don't know if I'll get the chance later. So here we go. 🥁 Bjork - Medulla. Interesting one this. I've heard a couple of Bjorks pop hits on the radio and music television back in the day. But I've never listened to an album. So I'm assuming everything on here will be new to me. 9. The ultimate Crue album will always be Dr Feelgood for me.
  10. Yes. I agree. As I said earlier in the thread. I think the opening track was a really bad choice. It sounds off key and really not quite right. After a few listens I'm pretty sure this was an artistic choice rather than a pink torpedo up. But I really think they should have gone with another track as an opener.
  11. I really like that idea. I will offer you five pounds for ninety five percent of your company.
  12. I have enough trouble trying to find motivation to walk to the car with my gear.
  13. Look forward to the album. Mick was always the real talent in Crue.
  14. I'm 48 and can't be arsed. Fair play to those still doing it in their 70's.
  15. Really like this Mike. Gorgeous bass tone, and the dynamic between the bass, electric and acoustic guitar is marvelous. Everything sits really nicely in the mix without being too showboaty (is that even a word?) Also some great and meaningful lyrics in there that I've only just begun to pick up in the first listen. Especially in the titular track. A really easy and pleasant listen. Well done! 👍👌 Added to my playlist on Tidal. Highly recommended chilled out album with a great relaxing vibe. I could listen to this all day.
  16. Yup. Made me feel physically sick. And people accuse Madonna of having no class.
  17. Watts don't always equal "loudness". You only have to play through an old Trace Elliot rig to figure that one out. 200w of Trace can bring a building down. 😂
  18. I'm not sure about mixing. But I use AI mastering and it does a pretty decent job.
  19. If you play his album backwards it sounds like satanic reggae.
  20. He recently did a guest spot on The Cleaner (Greg Davies' comedy show) starring as a Shaking Stevens tribute act. He actually sounded really good. 😆
