  1. They're the exact same rating as the ones you posted the link to. I suppose it depends on what you will put through them and how loud a band you're in. We've used them for everything from small coffee shops to outdoor festivals and never had a problem.
  2. Absolutely! Professional deps do it all the time. Although it's well beyond my ability and somewhat resembles voodoo.
  3. I've been using the Behringer Eurolive 15's for about 4 years as our main P.A and they're absolutely bullet proof, never missed a beat, lightweight, cheap and sound superb. https://www.thomann.de/intl/behringer_eurolive_b215xl.htm?i11l=en_GB%3ABG.GBP%3AEUR
  4. Trace Elliott stuff can be picked up for next to nothing now if you have a strong back and don't mind doing a bit of heavy lifting. They sound superb and are absolutely bullet proof.
  5. Weirdly, my take on it is the absolute opposite. Wearing your own merch in an amateur band just screams sad and desperate to me. It's way too "Butlins". If you're a well established, professional and famous band then it doesn't really matter. Your cool level is already well established, at least amongst your fan base. Although chasing "cool" is the most uncool thing any band or individual can do. So what do I know?
  6. Yup. Totally agree. I absolutely adore this track.
  7. Michael Jackson was so good, he used to load in and out with one hand.
  8. Well seeing as we've resurrected a 3 year old post, @binky_bass did it ever turn up?
  9. Each to their own but it's a definite no from me. It's the absolute pinnacle of sad. YMMV
  10. Can't see how you can really go wrong at that price.
  11. They still crop up second hand occasionally. Vintage are another great brand. If you can find one they punch well above their weight.
  12. Looks like it's been dug it off a skip. The bidding is already well above what it's worth.
  13. He's grumpy because he lives in Rotherham. Perfectly understandable.
  14. Not that one, but something arguably even easier had me stumped. I was in a band that wanted to cover Walk like an Egyptian and for the life of me I just couldn't nail the groove. It should be the easiest song in the world.
  15. Yup. Harley Benton from Thomann all the way. They're unbeatable on quality to price ratio. Except they're generally so good straight out of the box that they don't need any modding. 😆
  16. Indeed. I'm very worried about Mr Teebs. It appears that he hasn't been on the site now for about 3 weeks. Very unlike him. Hopefully he's just on holiday or taking a wee break for a while.
  17. I'm surprised there isn't a lot more love for these. I had one and they're great. Multiple stomps in one easy to use unit and no messing around programming patches.
  18. Isn't that the case for any cabs, regardless of whether you're mixing them or not? At long as it sounds good to my ear, I couldn't care less. In larger venues that's the sound man's job anyway. It's impossible to account for every nuance of sound in any venue. Personally I've always been a big fan of the 4x10 / 1x15 combination. However, these days my back is much more a fan of one or two lightweight 1x12's. If anything more than that is needed I'll be DI'd into the PA and the sound out front isn't my monkey.
  19. That's quite possibly the nicest looking acoustic bass I've ever seen. 👌 What model is it?
