  1. Result! I've been tempted many times to order a Chickenbacker, but Ali Express anxiety aside, the import process here in Bulgaria can be an absolute nightmare and it's just not worth the hassle.
  2. Nice buy. They're superb little things those Junior Jets. Great build quality for the price. I had one for a while but just couldn't get on with short scale. Otherwise I would have kept it.
  3. I like it! 😆 Although I'm not sure my back would, and I can't see what possible use a twin neck bass would be. Surely it would make more sense for one of the necks to be a guitar?
  4. There's a guy local to me who had a great band. Then he refused to work with anyone who isn't vegan. He's now a solo act with an acoustic guitar. True story.
  5. I'm intrigued by this. Apologies for the slight derailing of a for sale thread, but take it as a bump. As far as I was aware, Gotoh and Wilkinson are two very different companies. Wilkinson being a well respected, yet budget end brand, and Gotoh being considered higher end. This is the first time I've ever seen Wilkinson by Gotoh. It looks pretty decent but I can't find much information on Google. Anybody got any background on these?
  6. Nope. I have a grand total of two straps. Both black.
  7. Ah the joys of gigging. I went to the bar last night. Had a couple of beers. Got home. Watched a bit of telly. Only thing I had to carry was my wallet. You've got to absolutely love the gigging thing to put up with it. I never did.
  8. I received an offer. It's a bargain now!
  9. The shotgun's fine. But I would have walked the minute I saw the flying V.
  10. Same. Being in a band for me is, and always has been about hanging around with my mates. But then again I suppose it depends on your level. If your a professional paid musician then it's just a job and you get on with it. For me music is a hobby. I can't imagine anything worse than it just being a job and playing with relative strangers.
  11. Rockin' in the Free World. I played it once in my old covers band then jacked in because I didn't want to be associated with a band that would play such utter shite.
  12. Oh God! I thought he'd been quiet for a while.
  13. Basschat is coming pretty close to being dead to me. Almost every thread turns into a pointless bitch fest which has little or nothing to do with the original post. It's all getting rather tedious.
  14. I knew who the poster of this thread was without looking, as soon as I read the title.
  15. Very true. But love them or loathe them, along with easyJet I've never found a cheaper way to travel, and probably wouldn't be living here in Bulgaria if it weren't for the many cheap trips I've taken with them.
  16. I haven't had Cadbury chocolate for years. They don't sell it here. My wife's just gone back to the UK for a couple of weeks and I've put in an order for her to bring back loads of Cadbury chocolate that I've been craving. Should I prepare to be disappointed? ☹️
  17. The guitarist in my band has a couple of these and they sound great. The tuners are green to replicate the original Gibson Les Paul tuners. I had the same on a Vintage brand Les Paul and didn't like them either. They just looked really cheap and tacky plastic to me.
  18. I was going to apply for this but there's no way I'm crossing the great chemtrail belt of north Devon.
  19. Vodafone - Exactly the same reason. For a long time in my life I never checked my back statements. When I finally did I saw a monthly £10 charge from Vodafone. I hadn't even had a Vodafone contract for over 3 years. When I disputed the charge with Vodafone they said I had signed up to an extended warranty. I knew this was a lie because it's something I never have, and would never do for any product. So I asked them to produce the contract as proof. A couple of weeks later I received a cheque for just under £500. It was a nice little savings scheme I didn't even know I was in. But it makes me wonder how many other people have been ripped off without realising it.
  20. Technically my highschool band from 35 years ago never broke up. We just discovered girls and forgot we were in a band.
  21. I've only heard good things about Jet guitars. Certainly one to watch to give Harley Benton a run for their money.
  22. I teach English online via webcam and my office is my studio with all my instruments in the background. I constantly get asked by my students about music and often tell them all about my band. We haven't played together in almost a year but according to the old YouTube channel we're now very popular in China. 😆
